- Mario Andretti is an auto racing icon, considered by many to be the greatest all-around race car driver in the history of motorsports.
Mario Andretti’s achievements are legendary: The world watched as he won the Daytona 500, the Indianapolis 500 as well as 4 IndyCar titles and ultimately the Formula One World Championship in 1978, an unprecedented trifecta. No other race car driver has ever won all three titles. Mario took the checkered flag 111 times during his career - a career that stretched five decades and across six continents.
Ladies and gentlemen, it is with great honor to introduce to you, one of auto racing’s most famous Living Legends, Mario Andretti.

Thank you for this fantastic interview of the legend!!!
I had the privilege of watching Mario racing CanAm, F5000, CART, Champ Car, etc. at Laguna Seca, and/or Sears Point from the mid 60s on, and I was at Long Beach in 1977 when he won the USGP.
It's unfortunate how careful even a legend has to be when voicing his opinion these days, but I'm so glad he did share his opinion, and in such an illustrative, intelligent, and trigger-free way; "When you're on that dance floor, you've got to dance whether you like the music or not." That's so true; it used to be that if you don't want to dance, you step off of the dance floor... now if someone is afraid, then everyone must do the Safety Dance.

amazing human been racing driver and could be inside the top ten drivers in History
You would think a man of his standing wouldn't be handing out such backhanded complements , hes clearly still salty that Nigel won that title fair and square , and Nigel still the only man in history to hold not only the F1 title but also the Indycar Title simultaneously .
I wish Mario would have more input in the Mario Andretti Racing Experience ther than just a licencing deal. Those cars are definately not travelling anywhere close to the speeds claimed.
The Brabham Fan car was never banned. Bernie withdrew it before the governing body enacted a ban.
Mario still telling porkies about the fan car lol.
