Fern, my white Boxer dog, is an accredited service dog under the 1992 DD act. She holds special access rights to be allowed to enter places most dogs cannot. This includes National Parks such as Chiltern Mt Piolet NP where Reedy Creek is located. Unless your dog is an accredited service animal they are not allowed to enter NP.
Check your local regulations, as each state and territory is different, before you travel into or though NP with your dog. Here is the Parks Victoria website for those of you wishing to read up on Victoria's laws 👉 www.parks.vic.gov.au/things-t...
The glass balls look like reflective beads that are added to the top layer of road markings to help make them visible. Obviously a crapton get loose due to weear and tear! Awesome vid as usual!
That is exactly what they are , I work in road maintenance and have seen tons of that stuff
A lot of those beads were silica shells of little animals called diatoms which is mined from diatomaceous earths
nailed it
That "Folded over piece of metal" is a flattened keeper from pierced earrings.
Yep, also known as a butterfly. If it's silver or white gold it should have a carat stamp.
Clever and fun idea. I remember being told years ago that the floorboards under hotels in goldmine areas was almost as good as the mines. Miners dropped gold and it went through the rough boards.
Reflective beads used with painting the roads.
It takes balls to stand on knees picking up dirt from the ground in the middle of the nigth 😁 you guys makes a great team!
That folded over bit is a backing for an ear ring.
The Beechworth bandits are at large!
I loved this, loved the music the late night vibe, I remember when Klesh did it every Victorian street will be swept pristine 😂
You two are an interesting pair, good to see both of you get along so well.
Glass balls may be the contents of those packing gel packs and that silver rod is a pin or tumbler front a lock!
Dudes, the banter between you two is hilarious! I appreciate the videos!
yep. linemarking retroflected beads they reflect light back to the driver
Good on ya for crediting Shane ^5. Nice score he made from I believe the 2nd visit? Multiple gem stones & gold bits!
“I can feel the.. POTENTIAL!” Ahah
Love what you do, Chris! You and Gadzee must get yourselves a hardness or diamond tester, the handheld electrical conductivity aspect will make you interested, as you're on creeks with many precious and semiprecious gemstone types, not just for the green one and clear ones from the video. Others sites? Former jewellery stores, older paving? Older pubs and jewellery shops on or near diggings towns, I'd seen a pan, pick, shovel, winder combo gold digger brooch marked on the back for a town in NW Vic that is now only a dirt road intersection, no town any more, but had a jeweller's! You love your research, be other gold exchanges, former banks, with deeper, older gutters to classify and pan! Old episode of "Gold Fever" old man did a Denver concreted former creek, still depositing gold from beneath the city to drop-offs he'd rigged a hand pumped bucket with a hose attachment, you should try replicate this, with complimentary acknowledgements, I liked that series, must if you've not seen it. Onyas!
The town I'm currently in is relatively young but gets me thinking of towns near by that are much older.
Thanks for sharing
🙏❤️🌲
The folded over metal with the hole is an earing back.
Glass balls are from white lines on roadside reflection for white paint ...when line painters refresh the road lines..
The pin at @18:00 (and possibly the glass beads) look to be bits of tumbling media used to polish the stones. Oh, in case it hasn't been said yet, that folded over bit of jewelery thing is the back of an earring.
I would agree with you Chris silica beads for moisture
7 years ago channel "Ask Jeff Williams" did something similar when he posted "panning for gold in New York City". I remember seeing that on TV before I knew he had a channel. He's a prospector and geologist in Arizona. Fairly educational when he's not doing something stupid like spitting in a bowl of chile or pretending to be a quick draw shooter.
Chis i watched his channel first i always watch both your channels love them both ❤️
They add glass beads to road sign paint and paint for road marking to make it reflective these are likely the glass beads you found
The bluestone cobbles near Collins St Melbourne beckon.
The glass beads could be sandblasting media, or the reflective surface added to road paint.
What a fun adventure! Makes me wanna do this where I live, and I'm probably gonna 😊
folded over bit is an Earring back. look for a stamp saying 925 or 10k or 14k. Good show Chris
Maybe they used Home Depot or Lowe’s sand to set the bricks ;)
You and stinky pantz are my fav! Thank you for doing what you do and sharing the bits of your crazy life❤
What a fun idea. Enjoyed this very much, thanks.
Of course I alway watch you and Gadzee together when I can!
what a fun little video chris many thanks
Good night time activity. Congrats on the gold. Gutters would be my bet for where most of it came from. I’ve done culverts under train lines and pinged some. Good video 😁👍
I often start yelling at the screen that they should do this and lo and behold they do it. I was doing this to you about the gutters and the next scene you were doing it. It is amazing how much POWER I have. This is why I no longer comment until the end. Small beads could be from bead blaster. Could be left over from a restoration project somewhere on the street. I like Sodalite, in sphere form it looks like a forming world.
The beads might be used polish jewelry.
Cool vid! Lapis Lazuli sounds like the name of an old slappa who worked the streets of Beechworth during the gold rush😂😂
the bit of fold over metal at 21mins is a earring back piece
That looks like some punishment my sergeant gave me when I was in the army 😂
The folded metal is the back from an earring.
So this is why I saw you walking around Beechworth at 11pm at night 🤣🤣
Wow Chris that was so cool!!! I remember Shane's video well, but yours has much more rich history and humor than his.
Love the lapis pieces! I think it's one of the old birthstones for December.
Sending much gratitude for your kindness to continue with the gold panning videos! You're the only prospector I watch from the southern hemisphere 💖. Peace.
I'd love to see more urban treasure hunting videos
Great video mate, well done!
Your mystery piece is an earring backing for a stud earring, love the lapiz.
Awesome video, Chris! You guys are deadly at 1am in Beechworth. Loved the concept and agree with others that it's a great little prospecting niche. Loved the lapis stones, and wasn't that last gem amazing? Would love to see a macro shot of that. 😊 Very entertaining video!
This video was so much fun. I love urban crevicing! One of the best places to go to in the US is Walmart, or any other large department store. People are in a hurry, not too careful. I have found entire earrings, pendants, etc.
5.21 the back of an earring stud
Gives new meaning to gutter crawling! The cylinder of metal looks like a small bearing roller. Great vid again. ❤it 😊
This is awesome I've been waiting for this video! So cool!
I just found this video, and I know it's at least 6 months old but you showed some small beads that looked like it had a hole in it. If it is what I think it is, it called a seed bead, used to make costume jewelry. I buy them for my Christmas globe projects. These look like crystal glass type. Someone probably broke their bracelet and lost the beads there. I hope this helped. Love your videos, since I live in Florida there's no chance of finding gold so I enjoy watching what I would love to do. I am a subcriber for over two years. ❤
The folded silver colored metal piece is an earring backing. Great video. Tom Massey of the GPAA did a great video in the L.A. river bottom crevicing the
cracks in the cement.
will do, I too love his videos have a wonderful day!
The "pin" at 18:05 looks like a lock part...usually brass but not always.
I'd be wearing a respirator while classifying road dust. Remember the brake pad dust can contain asbestos!!
Australian brakes and clutches have not contained asbestos since the late eighties.
You can collect diamonds and Gold directly off any Freeway - Some youtuber did it in America years ago
That folded over metal piece is an earring backing. It’s possibly silver
Im happy i get a double dose of the commentary between you and gadzee lol
That was awesome. Fun.✌❤
I was thinking vacuum at the start of the video 😂 you read my mind
i like the tunes you chose for this vid!
I suspect your glass beads are ‘chicken marbles’. Birds eat the broken glass from your car accidents. They stay in the gizzard to grind up seeds. When they wear the edges down and turn into spheres, they pass through the bird. And that’s how chicken marbles are made. (Yes, it’s a real thing.)
Looks fun
That was a cool vid streets lined with Gold and Gemstones so good 😎
We expected to find something. But we were not expecting that much!
Enjoyed!
At the 18:01 mark I believe the pin is from a lock tumbler
At 1:56, I thought Gadzy was about to say "we're like a bunch of modern day street urchins", but he didn't end up saying urchin. That would have been funny.
Mystery beads may be broken safety glass from windscreens or car windows that has broken and been ground down to beads over the years....or they are some sort of reflective beads put into the road surface for some reason
That was awesome and would have been awkward as hahaha. Good on you for getting it done
It is truly fascinating what you can find
The folded piece was probably an eating back!
Great video Chris well done 👍
I remember seeing long ago a show where the people in it would go to old ghost towns, and if they could locate the old bar, bank and assayer's building that they would dig up and pan the dirt from those locations. As I remember they did find a bit of gold.
I think it's fair to say that this is a snapshot into future of the lengths CZcamsrs will need to go to to make ends meet.
You need to borrow my cordless wet dry vac !! I have a crack tube attachment too!! Love your work guys
I like the urban videos. They are cool
Bugger it dig up the pavers it’s ok just put some council sidewalk danger signs up she’ll be right mate
Cool! I'd like to share a story about when I was crippled & seeing lots of doctors for a couple decades, I prospected the alleys of Phoenix & under bushes waiting for my appointments. I found a Hota Buddah Ojimi from a quartz shattered Netski from the Hahn Dynasty in apple green jadeite! Obviously brought here with the Chinese after the Boxer Rebellion...as far as I've found there are only 2 now, the other in a Lyles antique book was dug up & covered in calcite, not that pretty. Cool show you guys
You need a vacuum cleaner. A dyson would be a game changer!
“Dennis, there’s some lovely filth down here”
I was waiting for a cop car to stop and ask "What the hell are you doing"
Did anyone else feel like they needed to wash their hands while watching this 😂😂😅
Also thanks for the entertainment and effort always 😝
Mask needed..m
I really like this video
Loved the video. I also would have checked the footpaths outside of the pub.
The “polished iron” is peculiar hematite. It’s magnetic as well. Yes, kids love it.
Who would have thought hey. I get New York diamond district, but the metropolis of Beechworth, who knew there was more than a really good bakery. Well done sounds like you had fun anyway…..
The first thing you found is a pierced earring back. May be gold, goldbplated, silver, or base metal.
The little round silica beads might be from kids toys - they are used as stuffing and come in a range of sizes from about 0.5mm to 5 mm diameter. One broken toy could have thousands of them inside.
The polished iron looks more like hematite and can be magnetic.
I was quite surprised by the whole concept of street prospecting lol. Very cool guys.
Just watched gadzees version now I'm watching yours.
Could the gold be eroding out of the mortar used to hold the stones in place? In gold bearing areas it is common to use tailings or outright river sands in construction.
Look at you go
Where you been Mick? You’ve been absent from Chris’ videos for ages mate.
Hope you’re well, cheers 🍻🍻🍻
I saw Codyslab do this first, he did platinum on fire from the highway. Insane as a proof of concept highly recommend that one and the diamond one he did
yay you found golden...hair😄
I would use a blue light on 15:20 the cons
Looks like waggas old court house in the thumbnail
Considering they all look the same down south XD
Small beads could be polishing beads for stones or metals as in a rock tumblr
Yep… I think half of these gems belonged for my kids for all of 2 seconds 😂
He'll yeah
Stands out like dog balls, love it,don't mind if I use it!?!😅
Emeralds - went on a tag-along tour from Rubyvale. Found a 15ct green emerald with an inclusion, cut down to 3ct . So now you are saying its worth $4500 excluding the gold its set into - ❤
You found a top pin from a pin tumbler lock cylinder.
