  • A visual animation of how desalination; the process of converting seawater to drinking water works.
    From Wikipedia:
Desalination, desalinization, or desalinisation refers to any of several processes that remove some amount of salt and other minerals from saline water. More generally, desalination may also refer to the removal of salts and minerals,[1] as in soil desalination.[2]
Salt water is desalinated to produce fresh water suitable for human consumption or irrigation. One potential byproduct of desalination is salt. Desalination is used on many seagoing ships and submarines. Most of the modern interest in desalination is focused on developing cost-effective ways of providing fresh water for human use. Along with recycled waste water, this is one of the few rainfall-independent water sources.
Large-scale desalination typically uses large amounts of energy and specialized, expensive infrastructure, making it more expensive than fresh water from conventional sources, such as rivers or groundwater.[3]
DaVinci Studio developed the 3D animation for client Seven Seas Water Corp using squiggly artwork and 3D animation.

One of the best presentations that explains the process. Still leaves some mystery.

If we were to build a Floating city using recycled plastics and barges to create floats. A floating city to place a desalination plant. Creating Global employment. Cleaning up the world around. By putting a bounty on all plastics.

I don't know why this is suggested when I'm actually searching about plants but as proven by the video (but justified in a very Kellyann Conway Way #Republican Hypocrites) that desalination plant increases the salt level of the sea (they just do a cover-up by dumping it in a torrent to immediately disperse "their waste"). If anyone allowing a large scale of this process basically consents in converting all the ocean in earth into "DEAD SEA" killing fishes & marine environment along with it.
