I think the light thing is genius. Typically when there are monsters around, our instinct is to turn on all the lights so we can't die, but here we're actually forced to keep ourselves in the dark.

Thats the difference between a monster (who has a physical defined form) and a shadow (who is not completely formed, so its much better at the shadows since it can hide in there, but gets limited when there is light since it damages it)
There are two relevant phrases: "Stay in the light to avoid being caught by the shadows and monsters in the dark." "Stay in the dark to not being seen by whatever is also looking for you in the darkness."

The other day I was watching some CZcams video and I forget what it was, but it gave me perfect memory of a dream I had like 7 years ago. And I had this moment of like “omg I remember that!” And then it was gone instantly. Very strange
I watched both commentary videos, and I have to say, I really enjoy your thoughts behind the gameplay, story and humor. The games themselves are also quite remarkable, and everything about One Night at Flumpty's interests me, so thanks for posting these. :)

Honestly, what this game really reminds me of is Gamer from Game & Wario, as you're basically trying to hide from something that keeps appearing and disappearing from your view, while also focusing on many tasks at hand. That being said, this also added some nice twists to its concept, like the exposure meter so the game wasn't completely reaction time-based and broken. This is definitely one of the most well-made of all the FNAF spin-offs, and is worthy of all the praise it deserves. Well done, Jon.

Now assuming those eyes are Eyesaur , every time a person dies their eyes are merged into the pit. In ONAF1, are 50 eyes in the pit. When Grunkfus is active, one of them disappears every time you flip up the camera. When all the eyes are gone, Grunkfus attacks and kills the player. Based off that, every death adds 2 eyes to the pile, which then means 2 additional camera flips are needed for Grunkfus to kill you. _(That also means atleast 25 people have died before you.)_ Make sense? Maybe...

And all of the cameras face your camera and it can’t move on it’s own so it needs something to push it around, and if you look back at the camera it was on there will be a blood trail that leads to whatever camera he is now visible on
I think it would have been funny if BBB started walking, and you turn the light back on because he's not looking directly at you. But when you turn it back on, he turns his head toward you again. Imagine the reactions.

I like how one of the most unsettling, hardest, polished, and one of the first fnaf fangames which has one of the best game mechanics has the funnist story.
So yeah one night I got a dream about being in a world made out of cubes where I had to collect wood to make a crafting table and then I made a pickaxe and collected stone to make stone tools and then I collected iron with which I could collect diamonds and then I went through a portal into a hell like world and killed yellow creatures so I could go into another world and then I had to beat a dragon and I thought yeah that was a pretty normal dream maybe that would make for a good game

This game introduced me to FNAF Fan Games. I loved the dark humor that's just riddled throughout your two ONAF's. I thought it was AMAZING that you decided to actually animate your characters because that really wasn't in any other FNAF game at the time. It was really inspiring to me. My favorite character of these two games has to be BBB. He's just super random and because you went through the effort of making each of your characters so unique, his wackiness stands out a lot more.
Through watching the video and getting to the blind character, I thought of an idea for that character. it could be a character that will make your awareness meter go up when the lights are off, giving a spin in the works and really makes you step on your feet and it could get rid of the "keep the lights off most of the time" Strategy

I couldn't find this and the other developer's commentary video for a while. I really liked the insight that went into these games, I'm glad I'm able to listen to them again.

Hey Jonochrome, just to say that as a fan of What you do, i would be sooo pleased to see a brand new thing with flumpty ! I Know you wanted to throw It, but i'm not asking you to do One week or a 3rd installment, I'm just asking for something with Flumpty ! It may be an animation, a comic or a brand new game ! It's just that this set of characters are so neat they deserve more than a fan game ! I don't Know, maybe a little game that Could be out on Steam ! Platformer or RPG, I don't care ! But the characters are so great and so dear to my game story that I want more !

Things that Aged Poorly
Of all the ONaF characters, which one would you say is your favorite?
I'm not sure if this was always my answer, but probably Grunkfuss.

This game introduced me to FNAF Fan Games. I loved the dark humor that's just riddled throughout your two ONAF's. I thought it was AMAZING that you decided to actually animate your characters because that really wasn't in any other FNAF game at the time. It was really inspiring to me. My favorite character of these two games has to be BBB. He's just super random and because you went through the effort of making each of your characters so unique, his wackiness stands out a lot more.
4 years later, and a few things from here didn't age well.

Through watching the video and getting to the blind character, I thought of an idea for that character. it could be a character that will make your awareness meter go up when the lights are off, giving a spin in the works and really makes you step on your feet and it could get rid of the "keep the lights off most of the time" Strategy
