Patti and Gladys were the nicest of the DIVAS, they were always nice to Aretha and Diana, but the Queen of Soul and Supreme were very catty. Dionne and Aretha over the years, have had a love /hate relationship. All these ladies that we have all grown up listening to and idolized and kinda adopted as Aunties in our own little worlds.....weren't very nice towards each other. But we love them because they were super-talented. Aretha, Dionne, Gladys, Diana, and Patti...they were the original DIVAS.

I've been telling people for a while I guarantee you or Aretha asked her to sing the song. I saw Patti confirmed that on a talk show 5 months ago. Aretha wanted her to sing the song. And as I told others do you really believe Aretha Franklin did not know Patti was going to kill the song. It's Patti Labelle. Think about it. TBH I love the way ReeRee sings “Ain’t No Way” especially live. ReeRee has a beautiful vocal range (let’s say E2 - E6). And Patti (well some people say she screams, but) I think she can sing good without being too extra.

Patti has no beauty in her sound, it's sharp and pitchy with poor diction and no agility. I'm amused at the nuts who think that Aretha Franklin has anything to worry about when she had the most beautiful voice in recording history.
