If you visit Osaka, then you must check out the Dotonbori area for delicious Japanese food and street food!! Dotonbori is filled with Kansai classics like takoyaki(octopus balls), okonomiyaki(Japanese savoury pancake), kushi-katsu(deep fried skewers), yakisoba(fried noodles) and much more.
In this video, I visited Dotonbori and asked the locals for some of their recommended restaurants and shops in the area. Also, my Osaka friend Rachel from orangetummy showed me some of her favourites too!

To those of you coming from CZcams's creator on the rise trending tab - it's a new feature CZcams just launched today and my channel was lucky enough to be the first one selected. They will continue doing this "creators on the rise" trending tab and feature smaller channels that are growing. I think it's a great direction for CZcams to be heading towards since there's more click baity videos than ever now on CZcams.
Hopefully with this new trending tab, we can find more genuine content and actually let creators share and do what they love like how CZcams was like 10 years ago...

osaka peoples seem to be more friendly and nice to foreigners! I'm sometimes tired of the busy atmosphere at tokyo, and i think going out to osaka will be my getaway. it's a great video, love it!

I can't WAIT to visit Osaka next March! I went to Tokyo in 2015, loved it so much that I'm splitting my trip between Tokyo and Osaka.
The takoyaki place was legit! Thanks for the suggestion +internationally ME (and your friend Rachel) ! There are numerous places that serve it in that area. I didn't try all of them, but I don't see how could get much better than the place in this video.

Just want to said thank you for making all these Japan trip guide videos. It help me going to Japan so much more enjoyable. Also because of this video that I decided to add Osaka as part of my trip. It was well worth it for the food. One thing I thought you should add to what not to do in Japan is don't get on a female only cart. I accidently got on and didn't know about it until the door closed. There I saw the sign on the door said it is female only. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Takoyaki is one of the main reasons why my fiancé and I want to visit Japan. We have restaurants here in the USA that sell it but not very many in my area.

I had Takoyaki when I was in Tokyo but I wasn't a big fan. I think I just found it kind of weird eating a tentacle that was still fairly intact, taste wise it was pretty good though. Okonomiyaki on the other hand was my jaaaam! Soooo good. I could eat that stuff for days. Honestly I love it aye.
Great video btw, you're definitely improving heaps in terms of video quality (filming to editing etc). I was feeling the friendly and humorous atmosphere too which was great. Looking forward to part 2!
