- Hey it's a good trick to know just in case. I suggest if you own an older vehicle to look up how to get your vehicle year and model started without a key. Trust me shit happens you can also lose a spare key.

This is the only helpful video I've found for this type of situation and it helped me with my 2001 Silverado 1500 stepside. I lost my keys at a buddies house drinkin one night and I wasn't paying 250$ for a new set of keys from GM so this video helped tremendously
Funny the key for my 2000 Silverado was only $10 at the dealer when I showed my license and registration. My keys fell off my belt loop and ran over them with a lawnmower

Okay I have a 2001 Chevy venture everybody says something about these three wires coming off the cylinder okay well they're not red and black and brown or whatever mine are well pink and green and there's only two therefore it's confusing me a little bit how I should redo this it all started when somebody stole my key I live in my van it was a gift and this is all I have and I've been locked down for 2 years now I'm just trying to get it to start again I've got to where I can jump off the relay it'll turn over but apparently I'm still having problems with the gas or it's not getting gas so I'm thinking the security system what should I do or can you help me please

Yo man. What other wires do I need to connect. I got the gauges working but can get the bastard to stay running after cranking and it runs fine. I think there is a little yellow wire and a stupid orange wire that's involved. Idk
