going to my 2nd year in texas. and so far i have more cons than pros. its not always greener on the other side.moving back to CA in 2024 & couldnt be more excited
What do you dislike about Texas?
Production and content on this one was as solid as it gets.
Thank you!
Thanks Richard for a great video , I will choose Texas over California because of the cost of living, real estate options, economy, etc, even though California has better landscape and weather than Texas. I just love the family type of environment that Texas offers and would think that this state would be a better environment for my future kids to grow up in than California. Also, I like the idea of being able to safe money in Texas versus living in California.
Completely agree. I love the weather and landscape of California. However, the cost of living is too high.
Cali isn’t for everyone. You have to bring your A game. Not many can rise to the occasion.
@@MDpart2You don’t need to bring your “A game” to live in Cali. It’s just common knowledge that TX would put more money in your pocket, just ask Elon Musk.
@@triple8ball But Texas climate and lack of beauty is a waste of your life. I don’t have to ask Elon because it is evident that with all the money he has, he is still miserable.
Great video really helped me in deciding which state I’d like to visit
Thanks for the video! Live in San Diego, born and raised in California but have been thinking about moving to Texas in the near future… thanks so much for the context it helped a lot, will definitely reach out when the time comes.
Thank you Laura.
Wow! Great topic precise and informative!
Thank you!
Texas weather is bad compared to California.
Terrible in comparison.
Just to make sure all those Californias moving here to Texas you moved for a reason don’t make it like wherever you left
I agree. Let's keep Texas, TEXAS.
Definitely respect your review. Born and raised in San Diego California and have been thinking of getting out of the state because of the laws and cost. Only thing stopping us is I’d be losing over $30/hr in my career and I don’t think I’d be able to afford my lifestyle out there with that. But Texas definitely has been on our radar.
Texas economy is Booming! Id take a look at job opportunities.
Good video. I miss home southern CA is a wonderful place to live.
I could not handle it the first time around as a young man.
one wrong move and you can find yourself in some very complex situations, if you are the kind of young man who holds his chest high
SoCal is as good as it gets.
VIP, I completely feel the same way you do about California my man. We could actually afford to live there. With that said, it’s just too much money for me to justify it. I’m not from Texas, but I’ve lived here for about 11 years. I love it! It’s not perfect and a lot of the things you say are facts, but no place is perfect. With that said, that southern Cali weather, the landscape and vegetation is second to none in the United States! I definitely see you moving to Cali in the future when the boys are grown and gone though. You will sell the big house and downsize! Who knows, I may be your neighbor lol!
WOW!! Brother I think you're right on!!!
Thanks Richard for your amazing video, I am going to immigrate to USA , i have to admit that your videos absolutely affected on my decision , which is gonna be Texas !
In case you can help me for immigration let me know , I am gonna get job offer from texas , FYI currently living in Netherlands
That's Great!!! You'll love Texas. Let me ask and see who I know in Immigration.
Do you have any content involving southern Texas like the RGV area or Corpus Christi I would love to see your opinion on it
No yet. However, its on our list for 2023.
Texas is the better value, but California is the better lifestyle(if you have some cash). My only issue is that texas costs keep rising, which is making the value drop. Texas was a killer deal 6 years ago, not so much now.
Btw, i think youre underselling texas beauty a little bit. Houston can be beautiful. East texas, too. Parts of the overhyped hill country are as well. El paso area is gorgeous to me. Even dallas has a little beauty. But dallas will always be the texas triangle ugly duckling. West/pan handle texas, however, Omg. Ugliest part of the state, easily. Even the scenic parts are whatever.
Cheers from california
Those West Texas drives are horrible. lol
Austin and parts of Houston are nice. Just hard to compare to southern California.
That’s subjective like me personally I like California the people are awesome for the most part it’s a lot to do. I don’t personally care for the Bible Belt aspect of Texas but I do like owning my guns, and low and no taxes, especially when they’re not going anywhere legitimate which is the case in California. Just be going to San Fran over the last couple of weeks and seeing the rampant homeless problem even here in San Jose. It blows my mind that people pay so much taxes and the infrastructure is trash and nothing is being done about the homeless problem. Add that to the high cost of living “like obscenely high” and this is one reason why certain parts of California will become the next Detroit. Elon musk said it right California has been on top for so long that they’re filling them selves a little bit too much.
@@VIPRealty the wards are your worries though.
@@Yourmomlovesmethough the problem is white liberals
Can you make another video on Florida vs California?
Sure. Great idea.
Which city is better for a 34 year old man with no kids an no desire to settle down an start a family and loves the city life Dallas or Miami???
I'd choose Miami if....1. was making millions a year 2. I enjoyed the humidity.
Other than that, it's Dallas, Texas
Frontier loses a customer (me) because of you hahaha
lol. I definitely won't be flying frontier again.
Cali is the best place in the world…for the rich 😂
lol. True.
Do you write off your dining as a business expense?
When I'm with clients
You are not saving the enviroment 😂 do you know how much fossil fuel is being burned to recharge those electric cars
Do you like Cali better then Florida
Yes. Landscape, weather, etc are much better in California.
Video should be called I'm rich and moving to California 😎
I have to work much much more before I can say that.
Sadly, I was born and raised Conservative here in Kommiefornia. The Communists have ruined this state.
At this point, I am considering Texas.
You almost don't have a choice but to move.
Come on over. I suggest the DFW. Please vote Republican
@@dante5622 As soon as I turned 18 I voted Republican!!!
@@NEVERHAVEHIGHEXPECTATIONS good job. Now stop wasting your vote in CA and move to a better state
California is paradise compared to other states.
California is definitely a beautiful state!
Stay there and pay your taxes
When you look at cost of living, it’s just not that attractive of an option. It’s difficult enough for most people to support themselves there, let alone a whole family. It’s just not realistic for the vast majority of people.
For him to say the scenery is breathtaking at #8:26 is laughable in itself California is overrated I mean yeah it has the mountains && palm trees 🌴 But not much outside of tht plus u could find mountains palm trees && beautiful landscape And rainforests all over Hawaii as well Besides Cali beaches doesn't even come close to places such as Hawaii Florida or San juan So to say California has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world 🌎 He must either be high or clearly had way to many Margaritas at tht one restaurant Or maybe he just doesn't get out much idk But wht i do know is tht cali's beaches are a joke compared to alot other places😎🤷♂️👀
California beaches are literally ranked :). The video doesn't compare Cali to Hawaii, etc. Its a comparison of Texas and Cali.
I love Miami too. However, i'd take the beaches in California over Florida. Mainly due to the weather.
Many of y'all don't know but majority of Texans already flew the state to other better place and now the good thing is no one is going to say which place it is so y'all can suck up the new Texas (which is sucks).
To be honest nothing
California is no 1.
EV doesn't save the environment though, it will be a huge problem in the future when we have to dispose all the batteries from th EVs. The main source of energy is still from Fossil Fuel, electricity doesn't come from nowhere.
Mass transit/trolley is the actual future. EVs are just a stop gap solution. Go green or go home.
Texas is ok if you are on a budget and need to save money. With the economy the way it is, that’s most people.
But Texas can never compare to the quality of life in California.
Just saw an article that listed the cities with highest quality of life.
Austin has a “quality of life” score of 49 while many places in California, Sunnyvale, Roseville, Glendale, Huntington Beach we’re all in the 70-100 range. Even San Diego and Los Angeles, with all their problems, the quality of life score is higher than most places in Texas.
You’re not taking into consideration factors such as financial stability. Having to worry about potentially not being able to afford next month’s rent or even having to live out of your car because of the cost of living just isn’t worth the so-called “quality of life”. The average person can’t afford a million dollar home, and the average home there is very close to, if not more than a million dollars. The financial burden is simply unjustifiable. Your quality of life analysis fails to take into account one of the most major factors for people when considering where to live-cost of living.
I'm a Texas and LOVE Texas. However, I would mostly agree. The weather, beaches, mountains, etc is hard to beat.
Don’t forget that Texas also believes in the 2A, whereas it doesn’t seem like California does.
I lived in California, most of my life 38 years. The best years were the 90s in Cali, Now everyone wants to live their. The prices on housing and rent has skyrocket tremendously. A one bedroom apartment in the 90s was $650 now the same apartment for $1800. The homeless situation has got out of hand. I don’t want to be negative but there’s so much other stuff that I can add to the list. Now I live in Texas and love it. Now I can have one decent job and live comfortably and still have money in the bank. 🤷🏽 and California it’s not getting any better from what I’ve been reading.
The cost of living in Texas is hard to beat.
@@VIPRealty The middle class gets taxed way too hard in cali, not worth it anymore, It’s just keep getting worse over there.
@@ElMANCHILD that's why many people are living Cali.
