Welcome! In this series I'm working on #junkjournaljuly2024 hosted by ‪@megjournals‬ in collaboration with ‪@GetMessyArt‬ .
My style is #vintage, a little bit #grunge and very eclectic. My craft is influenced by creators such as Rachel @Roxycreations and a host of other You Tube channels. My glue stick of choice is the Pritt stick or UHU Magic Blue. I also like other adhesives such as Art Glitter, Barely Art and Fabritac. Tools that I enjoy using are my Tim Holtz scissors and tiny stapler. I have a variety of Stampin Up products that I use and one of my favorites is the retired Whale Tail Tab punch.
If you would like to support my channel you can buy me a virtual coffee. This is very much appreciated and helps me to continue to create, Thank you :-) ko-fi.com/I3I1...
Just a few of the CZcams Channels that I enjoy watching:
    Rachel @RoxyCreations
    Gez @Nigezza Creates
    Carol Laws @carollaws838
Just a few of the Etsy Shops that I use:
    The Paper Outpost
Medieval Mirage - Her digitals are addictive!
Roxy Creations - This is a great place to get digitals, straw paper, old Italian books, book page bundles and fabric bundles. Sometimes, you can get Florentine paper here.
Cover to Cover Creations - This is a great place to get a variety of dyed papers and you won’t be disappointed.
LoveJunkJournals - I love her digital paper clip slips and labels.
If you would like to support my channel you can buy me a virtual coffee. This is very much appreciated and helps me to continue to create, Thank you :-) ko-fi.com/I3I1...

Do you have a tutorial on this journal?

Thank you for your kind comments. I don't have a tutorial on this. It was a fly by the seat of my pants project. I knew that I wanted to start with as big of flashcards as I could find and then I was going to cover with tea dyed paper but instead found an old 1948 diary at a thrift store that had a lot of blank pages. I liked the idea of something older and original. I also knew that I wanted book rings for easy removal of pages. I liked the diary because it allowed the "day" numbers to already be there and I'm covering the months as I go. When I got to the part of installing the rings with my crocodile for a hole punch, I realized that wouldn't work because of the way that I installed the pages. Most of them were glued directly to the flash cards but some I retained the "folio" structure of the pages. I used a flash card as a template onto Mixed Media heavy weight paper to make the covers. My first #junkjournalJuly introduction/cover video talks a bit more about the cover. Anyways, because of the structure of the pages, I couldn't just punch holes directly onto the page bases. I had to make the cloth hinges to allow for the book to function better and to not impede writing/creating areas. I purchased some inexpensive fabric from Hobby Lobby that I love using in a variety of projects. I can stamp on it, glue on it. embellish with it, etc.

Thank you. Your explanation on the rings to close is helpful. Have to give that a try.
