- I rode 35 Miles from Byron Center, MI to Cedar Springs, MI connecting the Kent Trails to the White Pine Trail in Grand Rapids. Both these rail trails are paved, well maintained and used frequently by the surrounding communities, my camera picked up the following trail activity.

I rode this trail last year on my visit to Byron Center! I ride the trails in and around Grand Rapids every year. fantastic experience and by the way i am British and holiday in Grand Rapids. Roll on September 2022.

its funny i have lived in grandrapids and sparta area most of my life . have children and grand children in cedar and have never even heard of white pines trail . lol . kinda of a bummer to find out about it now lol .

I am an endurance bicyclist and I have ridden the white pine trail all the way through to Cadillac. The white pine trail is not paved all of the way through to it's northern terminus. It does have a fine crushed limestone surface. After I finished the white pine trail I turned onto the M 55 and headed over to the bestie valley trail, witch runs until Frankfort, in Benzie county. I then rode up the US 31 to traverse city. From there I rode a good distance over to Charlevoix. I then took the north central trail into mackinaw city. I camped there before heading home.
