Beautifully said and I totally agree. Arika truly appreciates her home and it shows. She takes care of her home, family and pets and cherishes them while showing us that the everyday necessary activities of home life can truly bring a sense of satisfaction and Joy to our lives. I don't know what it is, but, seeing others clean, meal prep, errands, home projects, etc, motivates me. We all do this day in and day out, but, watching you makes me feel that I "have a buddy in the business".

I always feel the same way about the new year!!!!! I’m feeling a change in my family room! My totes are pulled out with everyday decor waiting g to be put out . Trying to find a fresh way to display. . Alway reminding myself to stay grateful. Always. So many would love to have the stress of decorating and I try to remember that it is truly a blessing. If I don’t, I end up getting stressed and not enjoying the process .

We have 4 “children”. Three are grown and moved out. Two are married. Only one living at home now.
This it really bothered me making goodies ( peanutbutter balls, needhams, and whoopie pies) everyone said they wanted them so I made them...but this year I could not ignore nor make the same excuse " it's only once a year". I really need to do better for every holiday. It is supposed to be a celebration, but wow do I feel like crap and tired after consuming sugar and sodium. In my mind I should feel good after celebrating. Thank you for the motivation, it reminded me to take down my outdoor tree, rain tomorrow. Have a blessed day 😊❤
Love the metal piece for your door. We’re so happy to decorate for Christmas but I’m happier when it comes down. When it’s over you need to reset. Happy New Year and can’t wait to see what you are gone to be working on.

Happy 4th, I took all my decorations down last night. The house looks so plain when you do, it stimulates your eye so much with Christmas and other decorations that when you take it down and put it away, I have to make myself not put up Valentine's Day decorations. lol Your house always looks lovely. It’s exhausting to take everything down and put it away. We moved from a home, we had spent 35 years in, and I had given quite a bit of Christmas stuff away, so I didn’t even decorate as much I have in the past. I divided the task into 2 days. Tree took hours. I tried to organize as I went. I was worn out at the end of the day. All that said, it’s always bittersweet taking it down. But I’m glad when it done.
My dog goes after the vacuum to. He literally picks up the vacuum and try’s to run away with it , it’s to funny.

I love that you clean your walls too! so many of the youtubers that do cleaning vids miss that. and I may be an exception, but I don't mind mopping! do you have laminate flooring? I have wood in my kitchen and as much as I would love to mop it, I am to afraid to do it with water instead of a like cleaner made just for wood. anyway! as always I so enjoyed the video! and you have such a lovely home! In the Spring Aldi will have some awesome rugs at great prices. I bought one last Spring and didn't put it down until later in the year but it is so nice! Be on the look out - I think it was only like $69 or $79 and it's a 8X6 or maybe even bigger.

I feel the same redoing my living room, these sectionals can be hard to work with when your someone who likes to rearrange often 😋 for some reason i don't like sweeping the bathroom I'd prefer to vacuum then wipe/mop but then i get hair wrapped in vacuum brush lol i think i may get a broom. 🤣

I love the color of your living room and dining floor. Where did you get it and what is it called? Also, I used to see you put your handbag on your pretty little hutch. I know we all live in our homes, but it took away from how cute you always decorate it. Maybe a strong command hook on the bottom half of the hutch, side near the wall to hang your purse. Then your hutch stays pretty. Just a thought.

The dogs don't like the noise of the vacuum, it hurts them. Maybe you could put them on the front porch or out back when you run it. Love your videos, just a thought :-)

It’s took me two days to get through this lol craziness around here. Taking the tree down today. LR and kitchen has no Christmas decor. I’ve looked online at athome and can’t find the plants. With snow coming in again tomorrow and another system Sunday I think, not sure when we’ll get to athome, over an hour away. Also love your cake stand!!

Happy New Year! I’ve already taken down my Christmas decor and I’m loving the “clean” look of my home now. Always seems so simple and fresh after the holiday decor is put away. Hubby and I have already started on some home projects this year, but we have a lot left on our list we hope to tackle before this year is done. Seems like home projects are never ending sometimes!

I Always do the 12 days of Christmas it’s 10 th day. I don’t put my Tree up until December 1. I really enjoy it. Good Video . For Christmas I got a gift card to Walmart and Hobby Lobby so when I decorate the house after taking down Christmas decor. Excited for a new look. When my boys were younger and lived at home I decorated the bathroom. Just the 2 of us now so I don’t anymore. Have a Awesome Day.

It always feels good once all the Christmas decorations are put away. The house always feels a bit empty but it's a nice feeling. I always try to get a couple new things just to give a little different look to rooms for the new year blended in with normal decor. I'm still loving your porch. I'm looking forward to all the changes you are planning. I know everything will be beautiful.
Oh thank you for all the inspiration on getting the cleaning done. Christmas decor is so much more fun for me to put up, rather then take down. You definitely inspired me, as always! I’ve kept the decor up just a few days longer this year. I wanted to wait until my girls go back to college. My youngest is supposed to go back today but she woke up feeling horrible and has a fever.
I got a Roomba type vacuum too. It does pick up a lot of hair but the prep (moving stuff around) can be a pain. We are in a small house as well. I love my spin mop too. I use Pine Sol Lemon scent. Mopping and cleaning the bath tub/shower are my least favorite chores.

I think that most of us feel the need for changes this time of the year. A fresh new start, after all.
Just finally packing away the Christmas decor for another year and cleaning all of the corners once again can make you feel good. I like the blank slate. I enjoy taking all of the usual decor and using it in new ways I never thought of. That's always fun.
Our big change this year is a new adjustable bed. My husband and I have talked of getting one for several years now. It's arriving at the end of this week. It's a gift to ourselves. 😁👍

I love watching when you vacuum because of your pups. My sheltie attacks the vacuum, literally biting it. He is not a fan, lol.
