Jesus... this version is so haunting... it's legit frightening. Man, his voice in this song is pure tragic, yet transcendent. I'm in awe!

Absolutely love Cold. 1st band I meet in person at ozzfest in 2002. I was nervous as all hell. I was shaking and sweating as well as tripping over my words. Scooter didnt mind he smiled and thanked me for being a fan, the whole band signed my poster too. They truly mean a lot to me kept me from suicide in my youth. So meeting them and there kindness I will never forget. ♡
I met them in 2021 tower records in hollywood cali. I was talking to sam about being a drummer and he tells me "don't ever quit "

It’s funny I always loved Wasted Years since I was a teen when it first came out. Didn’t think too deeply into it, just thought it was a good song. I went back to it recently, and the lyrics really hit me hard.
Beautiful. Love COLD . My little brother got me into them over 15 years ago. Since his passing, I can't listen to COLD anymore without thinking of him and I cry.
This band really captures the emotions of loss and translates it through their music.. hope they stick around a long time. 🙏

I Absolutely love Colds music , even though the album "Year of the Spider" didnt get the proper recognition it deserves , it still after all these years, even though I am into all kinds of music , even hardcore super black or grindcore metal , Cold ", Year of the Spider" remains one of the best albums ever made , to me and I am sure to others. It just has such a perfect balance of rock, ballad, , where it never sounds like they sold out and still retain there identity through there music and lyrics. It just evokes such emotion on a level, you cant deny it and you cant help but say, yeah I've been there and I know exactly what he means and feels, and the emotion that album evokes match matches the essence of each individual song. Its freaking amazing

Saw them live 2 weeks ago! It touched my heart and soul. They played "When Angel's Fly Away" and I couldn't stop the tears as I sang along. That song got me through my wife's deployment in 2016. God Bless COLD

Could never understand why Cold never got their just due....
My understanding was the label that released year of the spider didn't think they could match or top it so they gave up on them because they thought people would never less interested as time went on.
@@shinzontheta and year of the spider was a fucking STELLAR album too. Whoever was in charge of financing and promotion at that record company doesn't belong in the industry. Hope they lost their job.
Their label screwed them over on Year of the Spider and refused to promote it after Stupid Girl didn't do as well as they wanted it to. So out of spite, the label just decided to sabotage the band and stopped promoting the album and funding for any future music videos/singles which essentially killed any momentum Cold had to ever breakout. It's a shame corporate America just gets to decide to do that based on what bands they think will make them the most money. Total greed and corruption. Not the only band that had this happen to them in that era.
IIRC, Year of the Spider was #3 on the Billboard charts when it came out and that was when music piracy was in its infancy.
They were pretty popular, but they most definitely deserved better.

Since I discovered the band, it became an immediate addiction, every day I listen to cold and I will never get bored, wonderful work, beautiful and touching lyrics, a lot of success and long life for the band.

I absolutely have always loved Cold my favorite song was Happens all the time. His voice is just amazing I'm a huge metal head but I have loved his vocals from the beginning.

This version is pretty. Cold should make an album that has this sort of melodic mellow sound. It reminds me of Year of the Spider. I guess it kinda sounds similar to The Day Seattle Died. The mellow sadness of the guitar. Scooter's voice.

Scooter and the band always have a penchant for making simple phrases impactful, this case "I know somethings wrong" in previous caes "everytime it burns" etc.... maybe it's my perception. They still resonate with me... 20+ years later.
I've been trying to find tour dates for them hoping they were still around. There's no band like cold. They can bring me to tears at any moment lol .and bring me happiness all the same
