Where I can purchase this cologne?
I got my bottle about a year ago or so 100 ml for $23 on a discounter. I love it. It is light but a very creamy dark grapefruit that I found to have a decent silage in the heat and wind of South Carolina for about 2 hrs then beautiful skin scent. I haven't reached for it compared to others in my collection as often as it deserves. It was a nice take on a freshie without having to smell like soap or move in that Aventus or Sauvage territory.
I recently bought a small bottle and, like many other people, was surprised that this had been discontinued. So went online to find out more and came across some threads in Basenotes from 2015 where people where calling it to be discontinued. If I had been an executive at Guerlain and read some of the (spiteful) comments about the line, I would have considered it a failure, but a few years later this is now becoming something of a gem. There was no one to defend it when it was attacked, so I guess it put people off buying it, now this is the result I guess. The more vocal ones tend to win.

I've got a bottle with 3/4 left and rarely reach for it so no back up for me. Much prefer L'Homme and L'eau Boisee to L'Homme Ideal.
I have L'eau Boisee and the discontinued L'eau. So there's no need for me to get L'Homme Ideal

Thank You for the heads up. Extra 100ml bottle ordered. Guerlain L'Homme Ideal Cologne is my favourite summer scent. The new Guerlain L'Homme Ideal Cool is ok but not as good as Cologne.
I only recently discovered this gem and its already discontinued, so sad...

I will get one backup for sure! Fantastic fragrance and very long lasting on me (~9 hours). It was my main fragrance when I've visited northern France this year. I also like the original EDT. Not sure if the prices will go up tho. There is another very hyped discontinued fragrance in the community - YM L'Eau Bleue D'Yssey Pour Homme - that can still be bought for less than 40 € (125 ml bottle). What I can't stand is corporate accountants that axe good products to replace them with mediocre ones - like the Cool release in our case... And guess what? Cool is an ambroxan fragrance. Damn!
Guerlain should have axed the Sport flanker instead. What a silly decision...

I had just ordered this without ever smelling it...it just arrived today and I LOVE it. One of the best cologne-type fragrances I've ever experienced. I must order another bottle. At 26 bucks, this might be the bargain of the century. I also purchased the L'Homme Ideal EDP and it's very good, too. Thanks for introducing me to this lovely fragrance.
Just got a 100ml back-up bottle, for yet tolerable price. It´s so elegant and unique scent. Perfect for summer evenings.
I have this one...love the smell,but after initial spray there is no longevity for me on my skin.couple mins of smell and that's about it...shame.
I just picked this up and sprayed a bit on my wrist. Didn't like the opening, maybe the orange note that quickly goes away. But the dry down is nice. Very creamy, and I love almond note
I sampled the Cool recently and I was not so impressed. :/ It was nice and the mintiness reminded me a bit of Cartier Pasha Edition Noire and Prada Luna Rossa, But I personally think that the Cologne is a better fragrance.

It was a nice fragrance, certainly had the Guerlain quality, but ultimately underwhelming as are all colognes
I was just looking to re-purchase this one then the internet led me here. This is one of my favorite colognes and it smells super delightful.
I seriously wish Guerlian could bring it back in stock someday :-/

The Cool is nice. Smelt it at Disneyland boutique and found it quite pleasant. Wanted to like edt and edp but the sweetness is too much for my taste. The cologne however , is the the star of the show. imho

Love the smell of this fragrance but unfortunately the performance is very lacking. Sold this and picked up ELDO You or Someone Like You based on your recommendation.
The edp is great but the original is the one who stole my heart ❤️. I can’t explain how my brain was surprised by it . The edt is so delicious ... reminds me the beautiful time a front the fireplace

I don’t reach for it often but I really did enjoy it earlier today running around on a very muggy day in Houston . I find pamplelune from the aqua allegoria line shares similarities with this Idéal cologne . I just ordered a backup bottle just in case it starts to clime up the ladder . Thank you for this video !
I really really like the cool and I have been getting lots of compliments with it. The L’intense though is good for office and get few compliments but I am happy cool works really good on me. Better than JPG Navy and Mr burbury indigo on my skin.
I found this last year for my husband and ended up keeping it for myself. I like a freshie mixed with what smells like almond.
I blind bought this for my husband because of the almond note. There is pink pepper in the top note. I can’t stand pepper notes. It would smell a lot better if they had left that note out. I have him mix it with Cashmere Fig or other Fig and Fig leaf based products because that pepper note is too much for me for him to wear it by itself.

I'm not gonna buy backup bottle for this fragrance since the price already spike few days before this video was up. I think there's some other fragrances that smells better and the performance better too. Lets hope Ideal Cool can replace it (with better performance).
I found that L’homme ideal cologne smells like cherry to me (soft cherry to be exact), does anyone feel the same? Maybe is it because of the almond mix with citrus?

I prefer the Hermes over this since the Hermes has a bit more complexity.
Cool is slightly better than the Sport one but nothing special.
Have this one..I love the smell.but performance..wow....maybe get 20 mins before you can no longer smell it....what I get from it is grapefruit

I love the scent and just ordered a back up bottle.
Not that upset about the discontinuation actually, since I'm still hankering for a more mandarin heavy flanker. Maybe in an orange bottle like UltraZest? With a touch of tart rhubarb? I just feel like it would blend with the almond and vetiver a lot better. They already have black, brown, white and yellow, blue and now green bottles...seems like the only one missing is orange! Maybe an orange-amber flanker next??

I have a sample of Cool - it smells like a marzipan. The mint is not that prominent - it´s a part of the overall impression. Pretty nice release.

Its my 2nd fragrance, and it got delivered to me just today after blind buy...I like it a lot so far...i can see using it even for my college autumn days...from a test on my skin today...about 6 hours longevity and 3 hours projection...but i was in my home..so i don t know about open spaces how much it will project..I am thinking about buying a 2nd 100mL...I will wait though to see when the price will slightly go up, because my batch is from 2017...so i think the price will not skyrocket pretty fast here, where i live...Thank you for the video and the info :)

Thank you, Sebastian! I’ve not smelled the Cologne, but I did buy a bottle of the EDP, after smelling a sample of it and the EDT. However, after wearing it a few times, I don’t really care for the cherry note. In fact, I’m thinking of trading my bottle, which is almost full. I love the House If Guerlain, but sadly, I haven’t found anything in this line that I really like. I hope you find your bottle before they’re gone.
