Basically.. from the South Americas .... Argentina and Brazil; Africa continent ... S Africa, Egypt and Ethopia; Middle East ... Saudi, UAE & Iran + India (Indian continent) and China (NE Asia) and Russia (East Europe). I think in terms of land mass, that is huge. Also biggest in terms of population.

We believe that clear criteria for joining the BRICS are needed if they want to stand out from the opaque practices of Western clubs. Transparency should be a cardinal principle within the BRICS. To join the BRICS, it is important that the conditions are compatible with the objects of the institution, hence the interest of drafting statutes to formally set objectives and structure the organization. At least two conditions of membership are essential: not to house military bases (in particular Western ones) or to be a military ally with a Western power, to agree to renounce the use of the dollar in exchanges within the BRICS. Personally, I think that it will require to require from the African countries belonging to the franc zone the condition of abandoning the CFA Franc.
