    Great result! But 90% of the shots were cgi. We used a variety of Physx based setups done in Tyflow for 3DsMax. No math or scripting involved whatsoever. The sims were rendered in Redshift

      Oh really, press overdoing the importance of practicals then, my mistake. But on the plus side, you tricked even us 3d people, amazing job! Also thanks for the comment and clarification!

    Several smart and efficient tricks put together. I like it a lot. You have helped me improve and simplify my own setup for cymatics. So thanks for the share.

    So well explained! Love how you generated and randomized the crystals. Would you know and show us a way to work with a logo instead of the cymatic patterns? So that the outlines of a logo attract the RBDs? I know it might be tough to get velocities that way, and I couldn't figure it out... That would be amazing. Thanks for your work!

    • @Al1987ac

      @@keddefar idk, I've seen the backstage video and there are definitely practical effects going on and I think they fill most of the sequence.
      Dark grains flow might be made in tyFlow.

    • @the_duranovsky
      @the_duranovsky Před rokem +1

      @@Al1987acall shots except one were done in Tyflow. We simulated all the motions and then slowed them down. Then used Redshift for the rendering. The practical part provided secondary little grains to fill the shots in some cases and spice them up

      @@the_duranovsky Thanks for the reveal. If you have permission you should do a breakdown.
      There's a lot of downplaying VFX off late. it's insulting and undermining what we bring to the table.
