I was out for a walk after the rain had passed, and as I walked past a group of trees on the hillside, the wind picked up and whispered through the trees, & I thought for a moment I could hear whispers in the wind, of voices from the past, it was strange but very calming, hope you had a wonderful Solstice with your family Colette, I hope to meet up with you again soon xxx
I like the solstice in midwinter because I know that there will be more light from now on. Midsummer makes me sad because summer hasn't be here fully and not the days are getting shorter again going to winter 😓

Our community gather every Midsummer on beautiful common land that our houses surround, it's a slight hill and from it you get about a 280 degree view out over the small town beyond which we can see the surrounding hills. We take a shared picnic, last night was pretty windy, mostly cloudy and very chilly but it was still lovely. I can't believe it's Midsummer already! I hope you and your family had a wonderful evening. xx

It's a favorite time to mark, for me, because we make that turn. I'm not someone who loves the heat, though, of course, I value all the heat and light of summer as it makes the crops and flowers and trees grow. We've had temps of 94f (34c) the last several days. For me, the solstice experience is like when the rollercoaster reaches the top of the first rise; all the thrilling rush and dreaded heat of summer are about to come, but the knowledge that it ends in the glorious, relieving autumn remains. I enjoyed your ever-thought-provoking videos, as always.

Colette, greetings from Sault Ste Marie on this midsummer Solstice! In Canada, its the first day of summer. I was at the most most beautiful beach on Like Superior last week. I thought of you when I was wading in the shallows. You show us the beauty of your land and your gardens; I wish you could see our lakes, especially Lake Superior and and Lake Huron. I get the same feeling of relief and euphoria and well being when I'm on a beach at Lake Huron, that I get when you take us through that magical three acres of yours. I swam in lake Huron when visiting relatives many many years ago (over 35 years ago). It was absolutely fabulous.

Happiest of solstice day indeed, we had a lovely time enjoying the day that was in it, rescued a big big frog who somehow managed to survive a very busy road, I am in recovery mode and it is being helped by the wonderful growth of nature, birds feeding their young from my seeders and nuts in the back garden, being in recovery gives one perspective on what is truly important, but so few acknowledge, especially essential things like showers, toilet, having an appetite, moving about, just sitting because you must, anywho enjoy everyday because they are so special, enjoy what you take for granted because they are truly the most important, keep safe

Happy summer solstice, Colette, from Down Under where today was our shortest day, which I spent at the hospital emergency department waiting three hours to see a doctor who miraculously helped me, but I got back to the car and had a full on panic attack. I should not have driven, but I had to get home, so I asked for help and was guided safely home. It's important for me to remember that while external situations seem so real, a spiritual life is so needed. Despite being betrayed this week, the universe gave me the unexpected gifts of people who cared and did their best to help. Gratitude is a great antidote to fear, so even though this week has been full of fear, when I remember to say thank you for the universe's gifts, I am given peace, the greatest gift. Winter solstice is the beginning of our harshest weather, but I have already noticed spring buds on some trees. A joy to behold. Blessings from Kaye.🐈⬛️🩵

I love that the Celtic calendar originally only had Summer and Winter. It indicates that it goes right back to pre-history, before farming.
What a blessing to have such a rich heritage. Living in the USA I don’t feel that we have such a heritage. We’re an amalgamation of so many cultures, traditions, ethnicity etc that are basically regional. We do have a rich history as a country but I don’t identify with anything in particular.
Not sure where you are but here in the Pacific Northwest I always have a sense the veil is thinner to other worlds. The volcanos here (I can see both Mt Hood and Mt St Helens from my land on a mountain that is itself a dormant, but still alive cinder cone of Mt Hood) make Earth energy seem palpable. Astoria OR, the oldest town on the west coast at the confluence of western North America's largest river, the Columbia, and the Pacific is a hot spot as everyone I bring there concurs and probably why there are so many spiritual/witchcraft/crystal stores and practitioners there....and artist and musicians too. I don't know if they are my ancestors there but there's something unusual there. I suspect we have other places here in the US that are similarly magical. Your comment makes me wonder if our ancestors spirits are tied to their land or can travel anywhere you are? I suspect there is something special though about more ancient places with deep generational attachments/memories. Interesting! Happy Solctice!

Blessings Colette and Patsy. My granddaughters and I prepared a Mid summer feast in honor of Summer Solstice. It was simple made of fruit and homemade bread and cheeses. Delicious! We also are making Sun water infusing with the intentions of positivity creativity health and abundance. Blessed be🌹
Happy Solstice Colette, blessings to you and your dear ones. Here in Italy we use to make St. John's water by letting fresh leaves and flowers to infuse in a bowl of water overnight outdoors, exposed to moonlight and night dew, so that the water gains the power of healing.

This video is one of the best examples as to why many people seem lost even when they are around others. There are people who do not know or lack understanding of their heritage. They are not able to express themselves in ways you have Colette. There are those who are ashamed of their heritage. We cannot change our past. There are people who have changed their entire appearance and ways of liking to fit in to what society thinks we should look like and be. As an ancient history buff, I am amazed of the changes over time.
I am Shaman which I think is very close to Druid Beliefs. I am 99.9% Celtic💚🍀💚and feel very close to The Faery Realm and Gaia🙏🏼💚🍀💚💙

Colette, another lovely walk. The scientific part of my brain is curious (note here that I don't believe the worlds of science and of the spirit are exclusive of each other as society likes to categorize them as either one or the other) when sometimes in your videos (or on my own land) there exists a tangible feel of the energy of past spirits (in your case with your mom, Jack, Mary Ann, Sammy-Bear, etc.) while at other times that sensation is more subdued. Why I wonder, what is the dynamic? Does it coincide when times of the veil being thinner or are there times when we are just more attuned/observant to what is always there at the same level or is it some environmental phenomenon that encourages those sensations more than others? Is there some scientific correlation to what is apparent? Your video a couple weeks ago was especially tangible to me where I could sense your mom, Jack and Sammy Bear in the woodland in the same strong way I sensed Mary Ann at her cottage last year (or was it 2 years ago?). Also for me I see those presences as energy/light sources which when painting made the most sense in my brain as a star pulled down from the sky. I know that "light" and "energy" sources are common to those who have had near death experiences so maybe it's not just my brain but a scientific phenomenon.? Is there something common there too empirically or is that just the way my own mind interprets/sees? I wonder if there is some help here you can give from your knowledge of ancient Celtic teachings? Whatever are the answers to these questions, it's a wonder of the Earth Mother and acknowledgement of how magic the Earth is (and my God isn't science magical at times and as mysterious as the spirit world!?!?! And doesn't the spirit world often behave in a "scientific" way with patterns, cycles, vacuums, energy waves, etc.? They are both gifts to us and are definitely not mutually exclusive in my opinion!).
