That was Ndidi mistake. Awaziem was not expecting the pass at all. He passed to Ndidi and indeed supposed to pass to Osayi but instead returned it back to Awaziem. What type of DM is that? Ndidi really f..ked up.

I agree wholeheartedly with our guest analyst on his analysis. Finidi George can't do the job.

Well, every Nigerian is a Coach. We are in a hurry to criticize and tarnish the coach at every bad performance. Finidi can't be judged in absolute terms from two games. Our players did badly. Nothing to do with the formation. Awaziem and Ndidi were careless a couple of times before Awaziem's poor pass that looked like a perfect cross to the Malian striker. Moses Simon's Injury was also a deterrent to any attempt at physical play in a friendly game. Mali came to play for real. This win is extra massive for them.
Dessers is NOT the striker we need. I said on a different platform, the victory is not as important as the testing out new players. Sadiq Umar has nothing to prove, he is part and parcel of this team. I wanted Dessers to play the two games fully so we can see him. I believe he had enough chances to make a statement. Im sorry he can't compete with the likes of Osimhen, Boniface, Awoniyi and Sadiq Umar etc. Coupled with the fact that on a good day, Lookman or Iheanacho can actually strike as the top men too. So Dessers for me, is not that man.
Bruno Onyemaechi against Ghana was good, but not fantastic. I have seen him. Zaidu Sanusi still has an edge for me. Can look not so smooth sometimes but still starts ahead in the bigger games. People might want to favor Bruno. For me Bruno is not exceptional but an okay replacement. I like Jamilu Collins, but we need to see a bit more from him. Rapheal Onyedika looks comfortable too. Looks safe to watch. I wanted Yusuf and Onyedika to play instead. Let's see these players without those we know already. After winning Ghana, Olorunleke Ojo should have bn in goal against Mali or Uzoho to work on restoring his confidence with the fans. Stanley at some point may be out due to any unforeseen circumstance - injury, cards, etc Finidi should have toned down on the desperation to win Mali.
Benjamin Tanimu, was impressive and a good inclusion. He should have played again against Mali to boost his heart. If things aren't flowing, then you throw in the some regulars for the experience. Omeruo is still solid. I disagree with Smith Layi's guest. Omeruo is very experienced and physical. He may have lost some pace which is typical with defenders but he is still okay. This is a friendly game. A functional defence is more about organization than just pace. Imagine Ekong and Omeruo, or maybe Bassey /Omeruo, even Ajayi at the centre would have bn different outcomes.
Finidi needs two more games to be judged. The National team is not club football where you can redeem yourself with more games lined up in short successions. Finidi wanted to win the second match at all cost to secure the job which was unnecessary. He placed Simon to do an Osimhen which turned sour, unfortunately. If Simon didn't get injured, the Malian advance would be deterred too. Nigeria mounts undue pressure on our team and coaches for every bad outing, particularly in a friendly game. If we can't experiment with a Mali game then in what games will we do?
My suggestion, the NFF technical side as a matter of policy, should make Finidi or any new coach to use at least 5 untested players for any GRADE B friendlies. There was no reason why Nathan Tella and Dele Bashiru were not started against Mali. Simon and co are just trying to increase their caps and stats with the national team. This selection of well known players is what I disagree with about Finidi; after showing us his ideas against Ghana. Ghana is more a GRADE A game on paper than Mali. Even though in reality Ghana is still shit.
Finidi will play with the right personell at the crucial games. Watch again the Ghana game, the shape was right, with more flair than the Afcon. If Osayi wasn't complacent Ghana had no goal in that game. That's the ACTUAL shape of our team under Finidi, not what we saw against Mali. We had too many careless square passes by our defenders and midfield players. I don't believe Finidi will tell them to play like that. He should be given the chance to carry on. He may be soft-spoken, but that doesn't mean he doesn't know what he is doing. Finidi definitely understands the game and is a big name if anyone thinks the players can just disrespect him. I pity any player trying to play up like we heard. Our ex-internationals [Finidi inclusive] have bigger egos than they will ever muster. We have enough stars at the moment to change anyone. Our football is actually on the rise again. Mark words, Finidi won't lose the crucial games. If he sets up as he did against Ghana with our full house, we will still win games.
Finidi should be be judged after two more games. My little cents.

Thanks for watching, I always like to read to write ✍️ up.
I want you to know something that the next two games will most likely determine if Nigeria will qualify for the World Cup and we need a coach that will come and make a statement, situation might arise that we need to use the same set of players that played the Mali game, I was surprised that towards the end of the Mali game when he brought on Lookman, he reverted to the same Peseiro formation that we complained about. Why is Finidi scared to play 4-3-3 that he use to play in Enyimba? I Don’t think Finidi is ready for Super Eagles, I think Super Eagles should not be his first national team job

      @@Gaantfootball :
Absolutely! We have to beat South Africa in Uyo to restore confidence and our chances at qualifying. The SAfricans are good, but can be beaten with the right personnel and mentality on a 4-3-3. Finidi looks desperate bcos of the job, but I believe he knows what is at stake. Many of these boys remember the nightmares of losing out on the worldcup ticket in Abuja the last time. Changing Finidi now, will mean a new Coach, new mood, new dynamics into the crucial games. There is no other window for experiments till June start.
If we must change, then it has to be the top top of the top. A coach with pedigree and some arrogance. A coach who will tell the boys, either go in there and win or forget bn selected again. SA are good but aren't better than us regardless. For me, I'm scared of further gambling at this point. Finidi should be supported by Amokachi to cover up for his quiet or soft side. Amokachi's presence ensures there will be no 'shakara' or attitude from the boys. SA will put on a good fight, but they should not be made comfortable at all in Uyo. We must exploit all possibilities. Bcos the return leg in SA will be very hostile coupled with the loud pitch of their annoying 'vuvuzelas'.

I stopped watching the video when Dangbada or whatever he is called started casting aspersion on local coaches by saying "the tactical know-how isnt there" , regarding finidi/local coaches. The Dangbada guy doesnt know a 10th of what finidi knows.
