J H patel was chiefminister around 3 years or so his period he worked for alround development of the state not much corruption in the government and he has given full freedom for his ministers in their ministries .although from rich family .socialist moment in shimoga he was with the poor farmers against landlords kagodu satyagraha, freedom fighter and above all good human as remembered by his friends and well wishers, his association with Geroge Fernandez against emergency period his well known, he never wanted any of his family members in politics, when he his alive.he funded shimoga socialist party and its leaders..
