Wow the memories. My first store credit card was from Pier 1. It was my first credit card and an opportunity to build my credit when I was 18 yrs old. 5 yrs from there I bought my first investment property. Thanks for the help and opportunity Pier 1. God speed
- Pier 1 never moved on with the times. When they first opened, they were unique. They had items that you could only get from them. Then the time came and you could buy what they were selling at festivals, other home stores or smaller “versions “ of themselves, you could even buy incense on the street corners. Nothing they had remained exclusive to Pier 1, Yet, Pier 1 kept their prices sky high. They out priced themselves and never changed. That was their downfall, they never realized that they were no longer a specialty store.
