Attaching a coaxial connector WITHOUT special tools!

- Stuff you will need...
- 1 scrap 2x4 board about a foot long
- 2 scrap 2x4s 4 inches to foot long (They are used to raise the foot long board off the table.)
- 1 scrap 1x4, 3 to 5 inches long
- 1/2 in. drill bit
- 1/8 in. drill bit
- Three 1/4 in. washers
- Three 7/16 in. washers
- Three #10 wood screws 1 inch long
- compression type coaxial connectors (bought mine off of amazon)
- coaxial cable (I used old cable that Dish left behind when we canceled our service years ago)
- drill
- side cutters, heavy duty scissors, or a sharp knife
- ruler
- Screwdriver for wood screws

What effect does it have if you don't cut off the braided wires or cut of the foil? Just trying to figure out why my C-BAND link seems to be dropping packets when pinged from the NOC
or you could just use a vise with the push down wood.
not bad, wonder if there is a u shape washer so it would be lot easier.
Hmm, interesting. You could make one by cutting a piece out with a hacksaw.
