    Hi, I see you having a little trouble with your raspberries. When nurseries pot up their raspberry canes for sale, they gather 5 separate canes and bunch them together using the brown/green tape that you see around your plants. The idea is that when you buy them and get home, you are to cut those tapes and plant your 5 individual canes separately. They are not one big raspberry plant!
    I hope this helps and saves you money too 😁

    Hi Germaine. Well done! The raspberry plants look fantastic and I bet the boys enjoyed the harvest! The Dorman Red is so unusual. I haven't seen anything like it before.

      Hi Valerie, the dorman red really is very much worth the effort. The harvest has been great and I’m now considering pulling some of the other varieties to replace them with the dorman red.

    Amazing how much faster things grow with a few days rain.

    It is such a delicious fruit. Growing them in a raised container is such a great idea, that would make it easier to take care of and pick the fruit.
    Take care,

    Thank you for the idea to use bamboo stakes, I have some, .always trying to use what I have! Don't the birds go after your berries?

    I enjoyed your video even though I'm not really a gardener. Do you have problems with birds or squirrels eating your fruit?
    Your video quality is great too. What do you use for a microphone? I am subscribing.

      Thanks for the support. We have squirrels in the region but thank goodness they rarely come in our gardens. The birds however literally live with us having built their nests in the trees, hedges and even in the roof of our house🏡🦅
      I always use my iPhone while recording any of my content. And I try to make the process as simply as possible. When talking I stand close to my iPhone so that I don’t have to set up a mic, the sound is not always the best but it is at an acceptable level most of the time.
      Thanks for watching and happy gardening🪴

    hello, what varieties were you growing in this video?

    • @theswissgardenvlog3189
      @theswissgardenvlog3189  Před rokem

      Various kinds, but my favorite is the dorman red. It gives a lot of fruits and it tastes delicious. I’m considering removing the other varieties and only growing the dorman red at some stage.
