I wanted to see Tryon 3 vs the Snibal-Drago-Gira mode honestly. That would've been the coolest fight in Try Fighters.

+CiroStrike105 True. But some retailers actually offered a "special" that you could order where it included 3 of SxDxG as well as 3 sets of the EZ-SR HG. Bandai could have marketed it that way, but they would want you to spend more money I suppose. =P

since i saw this kit before seeing the series, i thought sdg meant "super deformed gundam/gunpla"

I wish their Dragon Heads were as detailed as Wufei Gundam's dragon arm for more badass look and extended articulation Based on the opening theme. This actual SD kit however, feels more like a 3-headed baby-lizard. lol

sir type v3.. i think this is the best sdg gundam review i ever seen.. and when you said the most ambitious kit in GBFT series well i totally agreed to it.. but overall.. i commend you for making this video well detail and very informative. and this time you did not discriminate the model it. and you amplify the good things about the model kit, even though i you have some negative thing to this model but it very understandable because it is a SD gundam kit. :D nice one sir. i hope to see more gundam review.
What's the name of the Build Fighters Try OST track that plays during the dragon combination? Been trying to track it down but no luck so far.
Shame that this does not come with enough to make the 3. But like the HG EZ-SR kit, most people are going to buy 3 sets of this kit. But overall, this guy is not worth it. Just another attempt at Bandai trying to get you to buy 3 of this kit.
You can't be upset with the silver sticker on the spike. It's an SD and well, rounded stickers *never* come out well on any GunPla.
Ultimately this is not worth it as I said, and it only was in that 1 "sequence" and at the end when they returned but in gold.
Coming Gundam....*Trying* on. Pretty sure the next HG review is the HG Tryon 3? Speaking of which, if that's the case, can you compare with the Premium Bandai Dryon 3 for those interested?

I kinda like having a little background music in the combination sequence. Is putting on BGM on an entire review something you've tried before?
I would have liked a size comparison of the Snibal-Drago-Gira, even if it would be even more disillusioning. Otherwise, like all of your reviews, it was worth looking forward to.
+Cloud Grey In the early days I had music... then CZcams got very strict with copyright claims. I'd like to add music again but I'd have to create my own and that's not something I'm any good at.
The only reason I had some music here is because it's a short clip and I'm fairly confident I won't get tagged for the official Build Fighters TRY OST.

Yeah...it just doesn't give off that badass oomph the anime version did at seeing 3 puny SDs combining to form mecha king gidorah. Having to buy 3 to make it seems kinda meh too since the Tryon is all packaged together isn't it?

No, to complete the set you need to buy 3 of the gundam. $10 would be underpriced for 3 SD Gundam.

Tryon soon, though. God, I wish his big sword was handled better. That part that plugs into the eagle head doesn't even have a polycap to stick it in place. It also *really* needed a spot to plug the other hand into. Gravity does not approve of this weapon.

+Throbbington Jones I agree, when I formed the sword I was surprised how loose Umi Tron's tail fits into Sora Tryon's head.
Also I agree that it needs a spot to attach the other hand. I've managed to make my Tryon 3 hold the sword but it's a tricky balancing act.
+Throbbington Jones You could always use paint, top coat, and or plastic cements to work around problems like that. At least it's not as big of an issue as the MG Wing Gundam EW, MG Wing Gundam Ver. Ka, and MG Wing Zero Custom...all of which use the same design and all of which are due for a remake.

+叶川ヒロ GunPla that combine are like a nod towards old school mecha shows. Stuff like Bioman. Flashman...Those old school mecha shows all had a charm to them. I guess it's not for everyone, but even more modern mecha shows still retain combining be it through a core fighter (or similar set up) like with RX-78-2, Impulse Gundam, Shining Gundam, God Gundam, then sometimes to a lesser degree where they get backpacks like the Strike Gundam...and then of course there are still just straight up 合体 (GATTAI!) mecha shows like Gurren Laggan which is more of the traditional old school animes.
But it's all preference. In that regard I can't blame you for thinking that generally combination Gunpla is stupid overall. I can kind of see what you mean since Bandai never seems to get it to be so stable like the Victory Gundam MGs... But sometimes, they're okay like MG Force Impulse suits.
