- In this video we take care of the interior on our 1984 Porsche 944. Thats 37 years old! Lots of lots of years for things to fade and breakdown. However this top to bottom detail breathed a bit of fresh air back into the car. Its sorted, smells neutral and is comfortable. What else do you really need from an interior? Every surface in the vehicle gets scrubbed, the fabrics get shampoo'd, shuts are steamed, and everything is finally lathered in a layer of protectant to help richen the colours. Now onto the wheels. Idk what it is, but interior projects/restos/overhauls/deep cleans/color changes have always been my #1 favorite space to work on and detail. Watching guys like you, who know what’s up, and have my same sort of form of OCD causing every last little meticulous detail get touched, it’s almost therapeutic to watch 😎

Personal highlight is the interior in complete black except of the seats they are darkred in leather. A quite timeless configuration in my opinion!

If you have a waffle weave, next time you do windows, use that waffle weave and see how it works for you. I switched over to using one on this absolute shit box hell hole of a car that ate up every microfiber I had with me by the time I got to my last windows>tire shine>done. I had a clean waffle weave as my last towel, and dude 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼 the perfect wipe every time with zero streak/zero bead/zero wipe. Bought a pack of them strictly for windows now and haven’t looked back. Best random results and new method ever haha also using an applicator pad instead of microfiber to apply 303 protectant 🙌🏼

If you had a car that had a ton of dog hair in it, specifically in the carpet, what would you do to get that dog smell out after you've vacuumed all the hair out?

Oh man! The professional answer is an Ozone treatment but access to that is kinda hard. Meguiars makes these scent bomb things that actually do a good job at killing odours and aren’t overly offensive smelling
What a wonderful video! The carpet was soo dirty! Was it hard to get it nice and clean? I’ve got one question after watchong the video. Why do you use a steam cleaner for the doorjams instead of using a APC and a bursh for example? But once again, fantastic video! Cheers
Thanks buddy! So these 80s euro carpets are extremely forgiving, they typically let go of most stains. And on the jams I find steam works best to get in the cracks on all the different gaskets and what not. Both work great though
@@ChromaticGarage Thanks for the answer buddy! I’m not using a steam cleaner with my detailing journey, but I’m looking for the benefits of using one. Normally I do all the door jams, engine bays and so with a APC and a nice detail brush. But thanks tho, maybe considering to buy one!
