- Hello Everyone,
Welcome to Vlog 26. In this Vlog, I am starting from Turtuk (last block of India) and taking you the the Last Village of India near India Pakistan Line of Control (LOC), the Border Village- Thang, Turtuk, Ladakh. Turtuk starting from Chalunka, Tyakshi, Thang, became a part of India after the 1971 War and the Village Thang is at the Line of Control, India Pakistan Border. In this Vlog, you will be having a look of the life in Thang and Tyakshi and how people are living their lives at the Border Village of India. You will also see the first School at LOC and anganvadi where voting happens. A place surrounded by Himalayan and Karakoram mountain ranges in Shyok Valley, beautiful and mesmerizing.
In the last Vlog, I was at Khardung La- World's Highest Motorable Pass for many years which feels like you are on the Top of the world. Had some tea and Maggie in the World's Highest Cafe. The work of BRO here at Khardung La Pass and in Himalayas is really outstanding. After spending a few hours at Khardung La Top, I moved towards the Nubra Valley which has mesmerizing mountain views. You can visit Pangong lake through Nubra Valley as well. We crossed the point where the road diverts to the Siachen Glacier where Indian Army is at World's Highest and move towards Diskit and Hunder in Nubra Valley and then finally to Turtuk, Thang, the last village of India on India Pakistan Border. We went from the Milkha Point to further in Nubra Valley. We are crossing Diskit, Hunder, Hunder Sand Dunes in Nubra Valley, Partapur, Thoise Military Base, Rangla Punjabi Dhaba, Skuru, Chalung and will finally reach Turtuk. Nubra Valley is famous for the Diskit Monastery and the cold white desert and sand dunes and camels with two humps. You can do desert safari here.
In the previous Vlogs, you saw my journey from Mumbai to Delhi and then from Delhi to Himachal on road through Amrik Sukhdev Dhaba, Murthal and IIT Ropar and then to Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. From Mandi, I took you to Kullu and then Manali. In Manali, I took you to one of my friends home and you saw me wearing a traditional Himachali Pattu in a traditional Himachal home. I also went to orchard and had a great time in the mountains. Then from Manali, I moved towards Leh, via Atal Tunnel. I did not take Rohtang Pass due to bad weather. I crossed Sissu, Keylong, Tandi and reached Jispa. From Jispa, I moved to Baralacha La Pass crossing Deepak Tal, Suraj Tal and then moved towards Sarchu. After Sarchu, I moved towards the dangerous Gatta Loops and then to Pang. After Pang comes the scenes beauty of More Plains and then after crossing one of the highest Motorable passes in the world, Tanglang La, I reached Leh, Ladakh.

Madam sir. Ye ek maatr Balti village nahi hai... There are 6 to seven villages of Balti tribe in India.
1. Bogdang
2. Chulung-Kha
3. Turtuk
4. Tiyakshi
5. Thang...
A village of balti tribe is available in Kargil district namely: Hardas
Do not share misinformations
Hey. Here, I am also talking about the above 5places mentioned (not just Thang, but Turtuk as a whole Block which was a part of Pakistan's Baltistan). This whole area has Balti tribes.
Second, I was told from the locals that only this area of India consists of Balti tribes. So, thanks for telling me about Hardas as I would love to visit Hardas village also soon 😊 It enhanced my knowledge.
Third, Do you think I want to spread any misinformation? Or I want to tell people about a beautiful land where good hearted people exist who embrace us. My motive is to spread more tourism into that part, so that, the Balti people could be benefited more and they live a better life.
Four, Please let me know more details about such places. I would love to hear them from you. Thank you 😊
