- Our Southern Projects keep us super busy in the winter months while our Northern projects sleep! Having a complete Landscape Architecture/Design business in both Southern Florida and Northern Michigan literally has us planting all the time!! It also keeps us sharp as we constantly study the vast array of plants, materials, and techniques that are always being refined and improved upon with all of the creative craftsman we work with~~
This amazing home needed a landscape overhaul. The initial builder really didn’t put a proper landscape in at all, and after Hurricane Ian damaged what few plants were still around from that initial planting… it was time for a completely new thought. Fortunately, the owners called us and we were able to dive in to an incredible project~ just wait till you see it all wrapped up and finished out! #staytuned - Jak na to + styl
Can't wait to see this after! 💚💚
My town everything has to go through
the Historical Society.Strange how when you have a lot of money ,somehow you just don't have to do the things the rest of us have to.
That last word you said....says it all!!!😂😂😂
I love when you do the Florida landscapes because we live in South Florida. Please be sure to name the plants as you show us around the completed projects. 😊
The last 30 seconds of the video is hilarious! Love your work!
Good fun~~!
Can't wait to see how this project turns out. I know it will be beautiful in the end!
It sure will!
This house is rather stately, and interestly unique with is front door off to one side. It's going to be beautifully designed with its landscaping. Thanks for sharing, Jack. I always appreciate what your in the makings of! 😊
Thanks!
looks like a tuff one to beautify.
Exciting! Can't wait to see the update.
So good to see you back at it again…it’s been a long winter here in Michigan. What a stunning home and I can’t wait to see the magic you create and are known for. Thanks for sharing!
We have been filming quite a bit- so, more sunshine and color coming your way soon!!
Fabulous as usual!👏👏👍👍🙏🙏🌞🌞
I am moving to Southern Florida from the Bay Area of California and am already a Jack Barnwell fan, so I am super happy to see this video. I definitely need more Southern Florida content to help me make my gardening transition.
Another beautiful transformation by the Barnwell genius! Can’t wait to see the end result!
Very exciting to see this video. Thank you so much! And you certainly are eye candy Jack.
You signature sign off is very endearing with that wink and smile. Keep videos coming please.
Get so excited to see your work. You are our favorite gardener!
So happy to see you pop up in my feed this morning Jack! There is great potential in this home, they are lucky to have you post hurricane! Excited to see the finished project.
What a beautiful home, love that you kept the tall palms. Can’t wait to see the final result!
Looks incredible‼️ I can’t find the part 2 video
Looking forward to observing and learning about your design and restoring nature’s elements 🪴
Will be interested in seeing how you clean up hurricane debris and also let it compost! Also planting orchids in the tree sounds really interesting!
Thanks for the intro to your guy who has his crew on this job. Crew people make he plan/dream a reality 😊! Always good to see you Jack. I lived in FL many years ago in both Palm Beach and West Palm. I remember the hot, humid, sticky conditions when u visited people who didn’t live near the ocean. It is VERY nice to see you involved in some restoration work down there. Can’t wait to see the outcome.
Sorry about the loss of the GRAND GARDEN SHOW thus summer, I hope the new owners DO bring it back at some point. Take Care!
Oooooo I hate when what I type doesn’t appear correctly!! 😮
🤣😂 The very end!!! Ha haha
Looking forward to the magic you will create.
OMG!...who wouldn't subscribe?
Looking forward to evolution of this property❤
So are we!!
Looking forward to seeing the end result. Enjoyed this 🙂
Stunning home, and those remaining Palms are so beautiful - would be impossible to replace and match the height/substance of them. Can’t wait to see how this landscape will turn out.
So nice!! I love everything about that home except the plain Jane tile in the pool. It needs to be jazzed up and bling’d out… in my opinion. Cheers! 🥂
Can't wait to see the results thanks for sharing
Beautiful property! Can't wait to see the reveal!
Ooo luv the architectural style on that house😍
Going to look beautiful
What a beautiful home.
Looking forward to see the final results!
Love ❤️ what you do….magical 😊
I am in Georgia 8b near Savannah ❤
🙌🏻🙌🏻🌟
Watching from Delaware love your video’s.
Always a job well done, Jack!
Huh? It's not even finished yet.
@@umouthingme The whole process is a lot of work, not just the final product.
Hello Jack...I absolutely love your CZcams channel. Question on the compost, what is your thoughts of putting compost on top of bark dust? Would that be a absolute waste of time and compost? 🤪
Not if it were tilled in a bit… the compost will help to speed up the bark dust in its natural decomposition and will certainly aid in soil nutrition.
is there any landscaping that could be done to prevent flood waters from inundating the property in the next hurricane? An ounce of prevention...
@EADAMS-MARKS Thank you. I have a better understanding of the problem now. I live in central Canada and have never experienced a hurricane. I guess I was pretty niave to imagine that a rock wall or hedge of native vegetation might solve the problem. I'm so sorry that you are facing such a formidable recovery. Ian sounds horrific!
Get cracking boys.
Is part 2 of the video available?
Any update?
Are these people able to insure this landscaping from hurricane??? Landscape, too??
Is this only accessible for very high wealth residents now??
How exciting, happy to see the areas are coming back post hurricane, it will be better than before!
We have gum trees in Australia and they have a lot of oil in the trees (which is why it burns so terribly) I worry that when you leave debris from the gums the oil makes the soil aqua-phobic. Do you have this problem and how do you fix the soil?
Hey Jack! Do you travel to other states or just Michigan and Florida? Love your work! We are planning a build in fall of 2024 and will need all new landscaping when completed. Just curious if you travel. We are in Southern Indiana. 😊
We do travel to many other states! We have done projects in Wisconsin, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Texas, the Carolinas… We enjoy the challenges and rewards of great design in all climates and situations~! 😉
@@JackBarnwellDesign thanks for your reply. We are looking at building in the Fall of 2024. I will reach out when I have the design layout for the house and porches and we can set up a time to chat. Exciting times! 😊
What is the pink cascading plant in the turquoise pot behind you ? Thanks
That is a Superbena, from Proven Winners. Sparkling cherry~ in an AquaPot~~self watering planter.

The house is mostly beautiful until you see that square, 3-level monstrosity on the right. Poorly designed addition? Perhaps you have a lot of tropical vegetation to quickly obscure it.
As a Michigan resident I've loved Mackinac Island Love to visit but could never afford to live there Your Florida jobs are over the top----really no interest in this high market world ---cant relate
We have a lot of smaller scale jobs we feature on our instagram channel, the larger ones tend to make better full length CZcams videos-
But thanks for your feedback, as we will certainly feature other scales of work on here too!
@@JackBarnwellDesign thank you for your reply i am so happy seeing your success you are incredible in your thought process-so much talent
Where is part 2?
