@hema saliya mam, What is actual difference b/w auto receptor and transporter?
Receptors and transporters are both membrane proteins, but they have different functions:
Receptors: located on the cell surface and act as a binding site for signaling molecules, allowing cells to respond to signals from their environment.
Transporters: move ions, molecules or solutes across the cell membrane. They can transport substances into or out of the cell and maintain the balance of ions and other substances inside the cell.
Auto receptors are a specific type of receptors that regulate the release of neurotransmitters. They bind to the neurotransmitter and trigger a signal to reduce or stop neurotransmitter release.

Its not like MAO A is present only centrally it is also located in brain neurones.
Can these drugs increase blood pressure due to exess nor epinephrine via alpha recetor?
Drugs like TCA & Nor epinephrine re uptake inhibitors can increase blood pressure both via sympathetic activation as well as vagal tone inhibition ( anticholinergic activity)
