I have been obsessing over Marco Verratti for the past two weeks as a transfer to FC Barcelona seems to get closer and closer... I still believe it won't happen as PSG are extremely difficult to deal with and wants to keep Marco at every price. But nevertheless I decided to stop being a lazy fuck and started being productive over my Verratti obsession, and made this video with the brilliant Italian's best skills against us over the past years. He really has to come, Barcas last good transfer was 3 years ago. Treble in the foolowing season, who knows what happens 2017/18? Without a quality transfer we will finish second even when Messi can keep his form.
He openly said he wants to leave PSG and come to Barca, that's not going to end well for PSG. If a player doesn't want to play for a team he won't even give you 50%. PSG can get a taste of their own medicine now. A player being taken away when he is about to enter his prime years. It's not like Barca is low balling them so the deal is completely fair. I believe it will happen.

+optimusman88 True, but don't underestimate Nasser the PSG president. I think he'll rather keep an unsettled Verratti than sell him to the club he hates most tbh, he's not like other presidents.

Great work as always mate, at least it's obvious that the rumours are very serious but like you mentioned, it's really hard do deal with PSG. I think it's necessary to get Verratti this summer and Dembélé in 2018 or 2019 and it seems like both players want to come.

Am I the only one thinking that we don't need Verratti. We have alena/Iniesta/D.suarez and busquets/samper/Mascherano and also Gomes/Roberto/Rakitic. For me our players are good, it was cause of Enrique
And this year he wasn't really good, also his lifestyle isn't good (he drinks, smokes and loves parties). So for 80M€ it doesn't worth it for me
Quite simply put - we need a Xavi replacement and we'll never get anyone as close to Xavi as Verratti. The players you named are good, but not good enough as possession-based starting midfielders in a club who wants to win all titles. Meanwhile Iniesta is getting older, worse and more injury prone and will likely leave the club next summer. Verratti is the absolute perfect fit for how we want to play our football and with him being a worldclass player I think he'll improve this team and its struggling midfield drastically. For that reason, and because he's only 24, I'd pay all money in the world for him. In terms of lifestyle problems, as long as it doesn't affect his professionalism (like Neymar) or his performances I don't see the problem.
