Had a 185 here for many years.Helluva workhorse! pulled tiller and plough like a dream. had the 2x4 non MP transmission and was very narrow on the gear ranges wich made it only run 24kp on high gear and 2000revs. the 188 has a 15cm spacer on the trans that makes it longer and less prone to lift the front when working heavy machinery on the back. 168,178,188 had that 15cm spacer. 165,175,185 had not.
Looks very good. Good refurbishment.
Restored too perfection beautiful M,F188 when I worked for a farmer many moons ago..the 188 was my favourite..he own a 135 ..240 ..168..and a pair of 390's..but the 188 with the waighed wheels and the Framed white tarpoling cab..I could open the the half top during the summer when the weather was good..only downfall was the wiper was crap..and if was freezing during winter months..sugerbeet season.. still I'd have a 188 multipower over a 390 any day of the week..they were great tractor and pull a 3 sod plough no problem..really appreciate your restoration absolutely beautiful and thanks for the memories 👌👍👌👍🚜🚜👍👍
