Bangladeshi patient happily shares her experience after recovering from major health complications

Mrs. Mahmuda Sultana, aged 57 years, hailing from Dhaka, Bangladesh, was suffering from breathing problems since 3 months and visited Sagar Hospitals, Banashankari. The patient presented with history of non-productive cough on and off and also history of excessive day time sleeping. 8 years ago, she underwent a kidney transplant under Dr. Mallikarjuna H M, Consultant Nephrologist.
She was evaluated for respiratory symptoms. HRCT, chest x-ray and 2D echo were done and sepsis was ruled out. Cardiac evaluation was done. Her transplant kidney was evaluated. Doppler of the transplant kidney was done. Serum creatinine was 0.8 mg/dl. Transplant kidney graft function was stable. She was diagnosed with severe obstructive sleep apnea after sleep study and was managed accordingly with auto CPAP during night and during sleep at noon. The patient and family members were extremely happy with the quick diagnosis and management and thanked team Sagar for their love & care.
