August in Texas is miserable. We have decent weather most of the year except for mid July to mid September. We also have strong thunderstorms in the spring. The best time of year to visit is fall. It’s normally sunny days about 70° and not a lot of rain. It’s a beautiful state but stay away in August.

Should make yourself a PVC/ABS shower for the roof. You have bars and could do it easy!!!
