the yellowish switch tip is there because the late 50s/early 60s jazzmasters would have had a catalin switch tip that yellows over time to become an amber color.

Hello there. Just wanted to chime in regarding the Jazzmaster showcased in this video. Having never tried one in the previous decades, I took an interest in Jazzmasters a few years ago and picked up a Vintera I in ice blue metallic. It totally changed my approach to playing and would now be the last guitar I'd ever sell. My Fender Strat, Gibson SG, and MIJ ESP Eclipse II would all go first. Preferring to support local brick & mortar shops, I recently ordered the desert sand Vintera II through a store here in New England. The genuine look of joy on your face upon playing this guitar was definitely a contributing factor in my buying another instrument I do not need. Very nice channel, thank you and keep going.

I remember playing the vintera I Jazzmaster with pao ferro and I couldn't take it and I never tried the vintera II series. I was also not a fan of rosewood for years, tried on a fender vintage jaguar(which the Jaguar is my alltime favorite guitar), also on strats which I struggled for years to play on it, cos of the grain of the wood let my played like a beginner, same goes for the les paul standart 2006 or 2009. When I owned my crafted in japan jaguar, the rosewood wasn't an issue, but I enjoyed for years my strat mapleneck on a telecaster, which is a frankenstein thing.

I’m fairly new to Jazzmasters, but I love using the rhythm circuit. I tend to set it to a nice warm tone to lay chords down for a loop, then switch to the regular circuit to noodle over.

Yep. My recent Vintera Jazzmaster is the most expensive guitar I've ever purchased... and also the most disappointing. Its factory setup & QC is lower than my $150 Squier Bullet telecaster... improperly filed nut, improperly treated/lacquered headstock (they went partway onto the fretboard!) This purchase has probably turned me off from ever buying any Fender product ever again.

I tend to line up the rhythm and lead circuit so they have the same tone and volume, and then I tweak the lead to sound different at the same volume so I won't have too many bad surprises like volume jump when I switch. But I still prefer the shorter scale on the Jaguar, etc.

The original vintera is based on a '60s JM rather than a '50s. Different colors, matching headstock, the neck profile might be a little different. The big thing that a lot of folks will consider is that the ii has rosewood fingerboard, the original has pau ferro. Not a bone nut! The nut is a question mark for me this series is 1st class except for the nut I would have preferred nitro paint instead of polyurethane don’t mind it on the bodies even the nitro paint on the American vintage II models the under coat is polyurethane topped off with nitro paint which gives it that vintage smell but that thick coating on the necks not a fan of also the tacky decal made in Mexico they should have stamped it on the neck plate like the American version it doesn’t matter where they’re made there more than likely made by a Mexican every time I take the neck off of one of my American Fender’s the name is usually Javier or Carlos or Juan the quality is the same it’s just the little things they do on purpose otherwise we wouldn’t spend the extra money for the American Guitars I have the new Vintera II 50’s Stratocaster and other than the paint they as built as well as my American Vintage II 57 , 🎉61 and the Fender American Vintage 56 Stratocaster from 2013

Unfortunately, my recent Vintera Jazzmaster is the most poorly produced and setup guitar I've ever encountered... despite being the most expensive one I have bought! Improperly filed nut (high e string popping out constantly), shoddy lacquer/coat job on the headstock, causing the coating to go halfway down the first couple of frets and then stop right on the fretboard. Really disappointing. Completely unacceptable, actually, when Fender is supposed to be the "top-shelf" brand name... and it has turned me off from ever buying another Fender product again. This is probably the first and last Fender guitar I will ever own (meanwhile, I have had no problems with my Squiers that were 1/4 the price!) Other recent guitars I've purchased (which cost less, I might add) have been much higher quality, including Schecter and Yamaha...
