I can see why she would learn Japanese, Chinese, and English because the Kpop industry mostly focuses on countries that specifically speak those languages. BTS and SNSD has songs that are in Japanese and Korean. Jessica had her songs sung in two different versions as well (Korean and English). Exo sand in Chinese and Korean as well.
Afaik many Asian people are interested in German language. Don't know about Korea but I've got a friend living in Japan and he told me. Also in anime and stuff you often see German words being used.

@@luzbiz9668 Agreed, that's part of what makes Dreamcatcher so absurdly good vocally. They're not just crazy skilled and don't have a single weak singer, their voices also complement each other super well. They're right up there with Mamamoo in the absolute top tier of vocal groups in the whole industry.
Siyeon has more technical skill but Yoohyeon is so clear, purely sound-wise her voice is my favorite of DC (her lows!). They really are the only group I've seen, of any gender, that gets close to Mamamoo in vocals or presence; but Dreamcatcher has more visuals and orders of magnitude better choreography. Moosomnias unite! Love them both. It really is possible.

Guys! I don't think we realize the gravity of the situation! Aside from the fact that this song is an awesome choice to show off her vocal range, the song's meaning is couldn't be more perfect for her. It's about forbidden love. She's a Kpop star who has to deal w/ dating restrictions.
Also let's not forget that iconic moment where she denied the word "man" in the interview where they asked about her ideal partner and replaced it w/ "person". This song speaks to the people of the LGBTQ+ community which we know that Yoohyeon at the very least supports. Which I might also mention is not accepted in South Korea.

Apparently, I never commented on this video?? I've been listening to it for about as long as I've been stanning Dreamcatcher! I remember that the day I heard this cover for the first time, I started crying uncontrollably, and I kept crying whenever I thought about it for the rest of the week. I'm not sure if Yoohyeon relates to this song or if she's just an amazing actor, but the emotions in her voice sound REAL. So very real.
At the time, I wasn't out to anyone except a few friends. My classmates avoided me after I came out, but my parents have chosen to support me and I'm at a college that's much more accepting now. But with the state of the country and the world... I hope I never have to hide again
