I don't like these new rules, what's the point of playing to 6 points 5th set rather than 11 ? I think people would be much happier seing matches last even longer.

Lin really try to play in a powerful style, that could make him to another level after he can balance the power and the stability.
I don't think he's trying to change his style. He plays like this because Sgouropoulos is such a good blocker with an excellent ball control. Lin does the same, but with less power so he is very uncomfortable in this kind of situation. That's just my point of vue.
8:09 is insane, the ball got the edge, and changed direction suddenly. But Lin still smashed without an error😱😱

IS should be proud of his performance. He didn’t even celebrate after beating the best non-Chinese player other than Dima! I can only imagine how someone like Truls would have celebrated if they ever win against a top player (very slim chance though). Why was the last set played for 6 points though?

Das wurde schon in der letzten Saison eingeführt. Zum Beispiel hat Timo Boll nach 0:5 den fünften Satz mit 6:5 gewonnen gegen Shang Kun. Ich weiß net, was ich davon halten soll
Eine sehr kontroverse Regel. So ein spektakuläres Spiel und nach dem 6. Punkt ein Abbruch. Hätte mir gern noch 3 Sätze von den beiden liebend gern angeschaut.

Lin's game is basically made by reading the serve of the other player and flick. If there is a victory to underestimate, this is the one. He is not even close to Lin's level with legal services
