As the summer holiday season approaches and huge numbers of tourists flock to see the great sights in Europe's top destinations, some cities are trying to work out the best way to contain an overwhelming number of visitors - without ruining the fun and spoiling the experience for the future. I fully understand the housing issues caused because of Airbnb and the like. Locals' needs come first when it comes to housing. Rest is just pure entitlement, and if they don't want tourists then we should not go.

There has been a Tourist Tax (aka The Resort Tax) here in Florida for decades. It varies from county to county. The money goes to the upkeep of roads and other infrastructure that tourist use.
