Iâve said this before but Messi isnât really the trickiest player, heâs just the most gifted dribbler ever. The ball sticks to his feet, he can wiggle out of any tight space and do it at full speed (he does have tricks in his bag too, donât get me wrong). Thatâs the reason most players on the pitch at school will try to imitate a Ronaldo (when he was young), or a Neymar because they are tricky, you can try to imitate that. You canât imitate what Messi does unless you have that talent. Of course what Neymar and the young Ronaldo have/had is talent as well but it seems achievable, âif I practice these skills every day I can do anything Ronaldo or Neymar can.â But how do you become Messi? Its God level lol

What a load of crap. If anyone could do what Neymar and young CR7 did by just practicing then we would see hundreds of players like them. No, what Neymar and CR7 do requires an insane amount of training, technique, balance, speed of thought, speed of execution and spatial intelligence.

I can do an elastico, a sombrero, step overs etc., can I do it on the world stage though? Of course not. However, I canât even dribble like Messi against my little cousins in the back yard. Itâs a different skill set and one can be imitated much easier than the other, thatâs a fact.
@@justlooking1087 No it isn't a different skill set. Messi needs the same exact things I mentioned to be able to do what he does. What makes him different from someone like Neymar and CR7 is his body. His lower center of gravity is what allows him to almost instantly change directions to go past an opponent. That's how Messi destroys his opponents, by quickly changing directions wich coupled with his explosive accelaration + all the things I mentioned above is what makes it almost impossible for defenders to react to his dribbling. There is only one other player I know that to was able to destroy 2 or 3 three defenders with his dribble just like Messi is able to: Maradona and he was even shorter than Messi is.
Also, your little cousins? Really? Maybe when they grow up they can become professional football players but you shouldn't use them as some sort of bar to be measured and while you may have the technique required to pull some specific dribbles that doesn't mean that you have the spatial intelligence, speed of thought, speed of execution and balance that someone like Neymar does. Very few football players in football history have all the skills required to do what Neymar does at the highest level so no, what he does isn't in any way more achievable than what Messi does.
