Im not knocking you since what you just said sounded like a cool movie plot but arthur was a possibly a welshman or at least the britons of that time period evolved into the modern welsh cause the saxons angles and jutes pushed them back into cambria

Celtic myth start since 4th century and ended at 12th century before majority of celtic people converted to Christianity.
According to medieval histories,King Arthur led the defense of Britain against Saxon invaders in late 5th and in early 6th centuries.King Arthur lived in Cornwall in the south-western part of Britain,the place with deeply rooted Celtic mythological traditions and therefore it can be assumed that Celtic mythology left some imprint on King Arthur's legend.
The one that you talking about is the story that was written by 12th century French writter Chréttian de Troyes in which Lancelot and Holy Grail was added to his version of King Arthur's story

There is debate as Arthurs' existence, but it is likely he was a 5th century king of Brittania, whose citizens were Celts that spoke a Celtic language similar to what is still widely spoken in Wales and Brittany. English developed later during the early Middle Ages, due to Roman and Germanic influence (as a result of the Anglo-Saxon invasions). So Excalibur is a fitting name of a Celtic battle song.
