Actually 128mm APCR's penetration on Waffentrager's 560 alpha gun drop from 352 to 295 at 500m distance, so Grille's premium rounds are better at shooting heavily armored targets from very far away even though they are only 900m/s.
must be a error on wg's part, normally td apcr rounds have hugely reduced distance penalties. eg e3/4 apcr drops to just 365 from 375 at 500. probably a bug to reported.

That pretty much sums up my recent experience with the Grille 15... The gun is way to trollish. One battle you can snap a light that's going at full speed at 300 meters distance and the next one you shoot down on the roof of a medium, fully aimed almost at point blank, and you bounce.
And did I mention ghost shells?
I really love the Waffenträger auf Pz. IV but having to turn your turret backwards most of the time to get your gun depression can be quite a hassle sometimes.
The question is: Why has Grille 15 so bad gun depression and elevation? Why has WT auf Pz. IV so bad gun depression? The values of german tanks are totally arbitrary and non sense. There are absolutly any reason for a so bad gun depression on WT, any. It is quite a statement: german engineers are retardeds, russian ones are clever people.
There are literally so many tier 10 tanks worse than this. It’s actually a great tank, it simply has it’s own play style required to perform well. I have carried several games in mine.
the FV4005 is the only one I can think of as being worse than this. Tech Tree wise

Foch can 1 clip a full health tier 10 Heavy tank
Badger is the undisputed DPM king of tier 10 tank destroyers, and is relatively strong when placed on a ridgeline or hull down position, and it is only really going to fail when you play it badly!
FV4005 is literally the only tank worse than the Grille 15
Lol. I love FV.. Its way more stabile shooting thing that Grille.. And u cna oneshot so many tanks.
Sometimes I have the feeling that WoT has a hidden value which decides the chance that the shells go into the middle of the aiming circle. WoWs has such a stat (sigma value), so I don't think it's too far fetched and would explain the behaviour of some guns.
Wot does it’s called RNG and also when they made the accuracy changes they show how much worse it got on a target 🎯 with 100+ shots fired as examples

It does definitely and too many hidden values, some purple players described this shit in the forums - like when you sometimes play against red players and from 5 hits you pen only 1, its like fcking ridiculous... Same with players who pay more for the game, they have for sure some hidden values besides of the standard RNG.
I used to love grille when it was released, but now I hit more with my IS3 or even with my FV4005 than with the stupid grille 15.
My experience in the Grille 15:
Sitting absolutely still and haven't fired with full camo crew and camo net active but get spotted by an invisible light tank 400+ meters away.
Drill the side of the turret of the same BatChat 25t AP twice in a row and bounce both times from 300 meters away.
Fire one shot and get immediately Swiss cheesed while crawling backwards by every medium tank in the match.
I play the Grille 15 like a hit&run vehicle. I wait for the enemy to point their guns somewhere else, and preferably fire, then poke out, do my 750, get back into cover if there are teammates, but if I’m alone, I run to another teammate, restealth, and repeat
It has this really weird play style, but once you know it, it can be a great tank to play.
My Grille has 0.21 accuracy but I miss sooo many shots in that tank (aimed shots) or shells dropping right in front of the enemy
it’s not a useless tank. it’s an XP piñata for anything that has HE
Set it up with the "experimental turbo" and play it as a hard hitting medium.

For me rammer is optional but exhaust system is mandatory. I get closer to medium tank camo at least, so i do not get spotted and rekt instantly as often. It has worst penetration for a tier10 td and has worst bloom values for gun. Massive disappointment for end of a line.

I used to think it was me. I honestly thought this was made in China. Fire 5 shots, miss 4. Lucky I don't have a swear box by the computer. You get the feeling that you wasted your time grinding it. Just unlock it to get the field mods on the tier 9!, and stay with that one
I, for example, never ground Grille 15. I ground WT auf. E 100 that Wargaming robbed from me pushing me this piece of shit. And not happy they nerfed the tanks a bit after. It is unbeliveable

2:39 that's such a dumb thing to do, why would he push the tree in the direction where there already are bushes that give you camo???? and leave a giant gap, so you get spotted when heavies peak the ridge
at 2:26 u see this 2 trees to the left,knock them and u cant get spotted ,u can double bush than there+u can spot from there+u can shot left,right and mid,but dont knock 3rd tree(from left)

I've got the Grille and i play it very differently, the tier 9 was an actual sniper TD but this one is faster, i slapped a turbo for dodging and went aggro in the city everytime, i wait till heavies make mistake shoot 750 and continue hiding, it has the mobility to get itself out of those situatons if neccesary, and then you can go back into a sniping position WITH COVER because you shoot and go behind cover instantly even if you are not spotted, then you peek back a few seconds before you are reloaded and remember, always FULLY aim the shots, the Grille seems to be really inaccurate for me unless i fully aim.
The friendly grille in the first game is why I don’t play td’s. Idiot teammates running into your tank, getting spotted, and then blocking your shots while you have to fight to use one of the 2 viable bushes on a map.
Not just the terrible platform, Grille`s gun should be amazing and its just average at best.
On the second game you shot 11 times and only penned 1 shot. This is the perfect example of an average Grille game. Gun is only accurate on paper.

Grille used to be good when it came out and I don't remember it being nerfed. It's another proof, that WG keeps tampering with RNG. I wich CC's and CC's would keep talking about this hidden tuning, because this a clear cheating by WG.

I got the Waffenträger on E-100 a few weeks before it was removed and replaced with this. I played the Grille for a hundred games and sold it because the gun's trolling bs literally made my blood boil. I haven't hated many tanks with a passion like I did that one ever. Only the "buffed" Flipwagen is doing the same thing to me right now. I do 2-3k damage per game but the gun never hits a snapshot and I have it at a whopping 38% winrate because the MM decided that I can only get retard teams. And no I am not bad at LTs, got the Sheridan at 2,5k average damage per game and a winrate of 60%. So at least I know it isn't "just" a skill issue on my part.
please review the fv4202, i have lost hope for that thing. I tried both vstab build and turbo build, neither could save the horrendous dpm, maybe you can do something about it
no one can do anything about it u need to be super unicum to do well in it but thena gain if u can do good in it because u so good player then u can do even better in a better tank that tank is bad trade it
It just goes to show, the numbers mean nothing, try every tank, including the "crap" ones. You will find one that just works for you, then just stick with it
I pass through this on practically everyday - and I mean everyday! And could anyone kindly explain why in every battle I play all first shots never pen. They will bounce, do a critical or plain miss no matter the range. I'm dead serious - EVERY first shot!!
WG needs to make the turret fully traversable, actual better accuracy, and better camo rating. Then it would be fine.
What i have seen , here , in your video , is a beautiful example of RNG . I like to play TDs , and please believe me , i know what i say.....What you experienced here , in 24 minutes , i have it on few hours playing . Its not fun, not to hit or pen your target , but , thats normal in wot today . At least in my case ......

The 0.2something is an outright lie. No doubt about it.
I'm grinding my way through the e50 atm, and the 8.8kwk L100 is the meaning of accuracy, yet on paper it has worse accuracy.
I'd rate the true grille accuracy to be about 0.41
borsig probably the best tier for tier on paper, since it has the 246 pen 128mm gun and you dont care if you are put into tier X game, the camo is also good. But the mobility is painful, also the gun is extremely inaccurate. It would either miss the target completely fully aimed with 80% of the tank in the aim circle, or it will fly to the toughest part of the front turret or to the tracks and do zero damage, i cannot count how many times my perfectly aimed shorts on unsuspecting enemy just goes nowhere and they who got ambushed by me fire back at me and take me out. Apart from the fake accuracy on paper, the damage is also extremely poor. The 490 average damage is only the surface value. I think there is hidden stats on the borsig for it to hit gun shield and bounce or hit tracks and do zero damage, because it happens all the time, the hidden stats also works on the damage, because you constantly low roll. It is normal for me to hit 2 non killing shots and record low 900 damage, i dont remember one time i deal more than 1K damage after hitting two shorts, it is always 900-950, because you are supposed to low roll in the gun. I can't stand these fake stats and the poor mobility means you cant do much at the end game, my win rate constantly going down, from some 50% to 45%, even i had 2 marks on the tank, so i moved on to tier 9.
This is why I don't think I will upgrade to Grille from the WT IV. I have the E-25 and Ferdinand along with the WT 4 and even the Ferdi is more fun than the Grille 😁 if I want to use other glass cannon TD's I have Su-130pm, K-91-PT, Su101 and Shrek or even ISU-152 for the meme derps vs struggling to hit anything in the Grille 15.... It looks like 2.2 dispersion not .22 lol

First tier 10 line I grinded. I ended u selling the grille, and went back to the WT auf Pz.IV..
I find it problematic with wt auf pz IV that it have bad gun depression an even slight hump in the ground will lift the gun into the sky.
Grille 15 would be perfectly fine if the accuracy wasn't a complete and utter lie. WG may as well nerf the 'accuracy' and buff mobility, since we all know the G15 essentially has 0.36 accuracy, no matter what equipment you're using.
Id rather say around 0.4
Honestly in many situations you just played the tank terribly.
You get hit but you dont use your 750 alpha to trade.
You take pixel shots, miss them and 2 seconds later the full enemy tank is exposed even though you got a long reload.
You often stood around in the open with the tank.
It definitely isnt one of the greats, but i think your main issue is that it just didnt fit your playstyle. Instead of looking for improvements you could make in gameplay, you just complained about the tank.
I still liked the Grille 15, but only because it's an iconic tank for me, performance wise yeah i think it's worse than it's counterparts in lower tiers especially that "stiff neck" Grille 15 has lol.

he also played it like a useless bush camper and like 90% of grille players forgot it can go at 60 km/h. become an enlightened grille player and use its mobility.
@@simoko7076 You never played Grille. Grille has not mobility, any! Grille has just some speed. The acceleration is tragic. Grille compared with Obj430U has 33% more engine power, 1/3 more engine. But, both moves at the same speed and accelleration. Grille turns like a boat, has no armor and no cammo. If you moves a lot in Grille you get spoted and die before you can say "Grille".

I'm still really glad I sold this crap for my second tierX, the UDES15/16, a beast. I'm a broke casual and I REGRET having Grille15 as my first tierX. I'm a 2nd MoE grinder for all tanks, and oh boii this crap stressed the soul out of me even when reaching 75%MoE, selling was my best option.
I just can't fathom the idea of downgrading the play mechanics of the whole line (high camo, bursty, mobile) IN THE TIER X. Stupid sniper with an assault medium camo. All those opportunistic spots from Waffletractor in every map? You now can't use over half of it. They really hit this with the nerf bat real bad long ago. Still want a sniper TD? Just play Strv line.
Why play this when you can the jagdpz e100? 1100 alpha, most pen, and a brawler.
I ditched mine because I was bored with it.
accurate title the tank is so damn subpar, tier 10 tds in general suck with loads of trash options. realistically you only have 4 good td at t10, e3/bobject/mino/strv
I used to hate the grille but I love it now averaging 4k over 200 battles but gold only, standard shells it is trash
Grille 15 is an average TD if you learn how to shoot target in radio range not vision range LOL. Of course, you will need to make its dispersion to 0.21 or 0.22.
Funfact: Grille 15 have worse camo than Ho-Ri 3

To be fair, the Grille's gun behaved for you in the first game, you just had a terrible team
The stealth of the Grille is just awfull, when you shoot, 29 players see where you are.
Weird - iyouxin raves about this tank and is haing huge games with it.
Grille do not belong in that tree line just like death star in british line. Both tanks are very diferent than the rest of the line.
Fun part when even E100 has a better gun than grille 15 xD

U play wrong the Grille , after u learn how this tank works , and specially the gun how it works , this tank is a carry tank , by the way don`t ever use turbo in a tank if u just camp with it entire battle , and Grille don`t need turbo even if u play like a medium

I think grille 15 worth trying if you know how to make it work, consider that it's play style is different from other sniper tds.

It's a td so why not run a camo net?
why to use camo net on any tank if the camo goes off when u shoot . If u don`t shoot u are not spotted if u are stationary, better to use many other helpfull stuff instead of camo net
While I agree that the WT Auf Pz IV is better tier for tier, I just don't have the problem of missing everything with the Grille. It feels laser- accurate to me and I just love pixel sniping weakspots for 750 damage from the redline. Not sure what it is because I watch peoples replays where the miss several fully aimed shots in a row, but my grille just doesn't do that for some reason
So you wouldn't recommend the Grille15 then Max 😅

Personally I love the Grille 15, i never had bad experiences with it, like shells going god knows where while fully aimed, also aced it like 3 times allready. It‘s definitely my favorite Sniper TD in WoT, for me it just works out you know. The only thing that bothers me is that when you go up from WT auf pz IV to grille, you suddenly have heat instead of apcr but whatever.
Do you take tank requests? Well, in case of "yes", I'd like seeing you playing the SU-122-44, The Soviet Tier 7 Tank Destroyer, it's pretty neat.
Grille 15 aint the worst tier X but definitely has a troll gun that 1000 % for sure.... its also crap for snipping.

@@santenz8460 Thats not true. Every tank benefits from a good player a different amount. Some tanks are just garbage and Grille 15 is not one of them. Even good players can tell that there are some tanks that even their skills don't make good.

Honestly, I hate this tank. It is NOT 0.24 accurate as it says, it is a fake imaginary number! Yuck! Also it misses 360° turret, and actual speed...
