- Some of you reading this may be familiar with Japan's many tokusatsu works, and some of you may not. Either way, it's 10:14pm, I'm tired, and writing in this description box, so let's get it on!
Released for the Wii literally 10,000 years ago (2012), Eighting developed fighting game Kamen Rider: Super Climax Heroes is based on Japan's legendary 'Kamen Rider' series, and hoo boy is it busted! - Hry
God that CGI bridge scene is so iconic that even the main actor of that show was joining on the meme

Ah yes, the iconic meme saber bridge scene. Truly the absolute peak of the rider CGI. All jokes aside, that show was filmed during the peak of COVID with a low budget so it explains alot

Fun Fact: A good portion of the roster came from the one Climax Heroes game released outside of Japan. Kamen Rider Dragon Knight.

The majority of the roster is literally like...Ryuki and Kabuto riders, and it's PAINFUL.

Other points:
-Hyper Kabuto is so broken you can use Clock Up (Slow Time) while using Rider Typhoon (O button)
-There's a PSP port of this game. I've personally never played the Wii version.
-2 players can't use the same character.
-You can use tag-team as an option. You can even summon you partner in battle. Very broken when you use 2 final forms.
-There are some forms not present in the tierlist, just because there's so many. One of these is Wizard Hurricane Dragon, which you can only use in a tag-team situation.
-The engine of the game is primarily based on Kamen Rider Dragon Knight for the Wii. That's why all Ryuki Riders are in the game as they're just carried over.
-There's a story mode where you can unlock all Riders and Forms.
-During Climax Time, a specific theme song for the Rider that initiated it plays. In the PSP version, you can manually set the song yourself from the music you have in your memory card.

8:35 at this one, well that quite a bit of dash but not exactly there other variants as well here's the things of the L1 button (WII) or L button (PSP)
-Dash: so basically just running right at enemy face, press button again for the art move cutscene but that just for main riders and some riders have dash but the attack doesn't had cutscene
-High Jump: this is another type of jump for riders that some else weird like ryuki with crazy sword slashes
-Speedblitz: "This is Maido In Heaven", this one is for riders with incredible speed
-Backstep shot: rider dash backwards and shoot 1 or 3 bullets idk, this one is for riders with ranged weapon (not for garren idk the reason why)
-Flight: you can fly now lol, only for riders with wings or helicopter (fourze with gyro switch)
-Ground Stomp: rider will stomp on the ground and this one is free stun
-Teleportation: so like the name but surprisingly that enternal and odin only riders have this art move
-Zigzag dash/slide: this only for 2 combo for OOO is shauta and burakawani
-Exclusive: so this is cool one here, the showa riders included with shadow moon have sort of sandstorm and with the narrator explain the moves that rider used, meteor with his energy ball (???) this one is really hard to avoid, ooo's ratorata combo with his speed running around enemies and then jump at them with knee combo in their face

SCH, so nostalgic. One of my favorite games ever and it's sad that they decided to discontinue the title after the beginning of Wizard. And I actually still understand the tier list even after not playing for so long (and got a decent laugh at some of the placement)
Very cool that you covered this game. I actually streamed a ZI-O Mod, and a Geats Mod for PSP recently, and beat the long story mode on stream. I also put it at number 10 for my top PSP games, not the best fighting game out there, but very unique and underrated nonetheless.

I'll be honest. Hearing someone talk about Super Climax Heroes with FGC terminology is bizarre. It's definitely not an unwelcome take though.
@4:30 I think I finally understand this one manga gag from a chapter of Witch Watch I read a while back.
I still remember (unless I'm completely mistaken) that I think Saiban tried localizing a Kamen Rider series here in America (or the west in general). I don't think it did very well. I for one didn't watch it at least. I kinda grew up in an era (mid 2000's) where liking power rangers was worse than liking anime LOL. So by the time it showed up it probably wasn't anywhere near my radar. As far as the game, I think it's more jank than I'd like personally. At least it has a few other fans though.

there was a second, actually good attempt in '09 which was sabotaged by the network at every step, one of those was refusing to have the already produced first wave of toys hit retailer until the halfway point, then when second third of the serie was done, move the show to a less favorable spot due to the toy having not reach quota
Yo i played this the first time a few months ago and the Climax games are just so fun to learn
RX is actually broken. His Bio Rider to be exact. The 4 on the tier list that the video has posted means squat if a good player is using Bio Rider - and I should know since the 4 (Even Kabuto) are my go to characters for the game. Also a misconception about the homing projectiles, they can be dodge and in the case of some of the other characters, they have a mechanic to counter them, Ex: Bio Rider form.

As a Kamen Rider fan I tried this game, and I had a lot of fun.
I actually just got recently the previous game of this series for my japanese psp and it was a lot of fun ! I don't really play fighting game but it was just fun seeing my favorite riders beat the hell out of each other

Dude I've finally gotten a chance to play this myself after so many years of watching gameplay so i appreciate this more than you know 👍 i still think the most impressive character in the game is ooo just from the sheet fact that they managed to have a way you could turn into EVERY SINGLE COMBO transformation without it being too broken.

I played the psp version of that game its a guilty pleasure of mine i started on a psp emulator then jailbreak my psp so i could load the roms on it which is a lot better then the touch screen ^^;

i played climax fighters on the ps4 and climax scramble on the switch along with the other rider fighting games that came out years ago like the faiz and kabuto games. super climax heros is by far some of the most fun ive had with a jank broken game in a long time. with climax fighters and scramble you can only play as the primary and secondary rider with a few others, but the amount of characters in climax heros is crazy.

Super Climax Heroes is the Smash Bros of Kamen Rider and it’s really freakin good despite its simplicity. It focuses more on the fun factor instead of the sheer complexity of most fighting games. It’s like Naruto Ultimate Ninja on Ps2, they showcase the flashy skills like the finishers and man is it SATISFYING to watch! I became a Kamen Rider fan thanks to this game💙💙

we need a new Climax Heroes. aside from having more riders, some of them pretty much asking for some classic fighting game style
the newer fighitng games just aren't as enjoyable, being full-on fighter arena and with a much more castrated selection
This is my favorite Kamen Rider game, it's just so peak. They don't make Kamen Rider games like this anymore. The latest fighting game, Kamen Rider: Climax Scramble, is pretty boring.
This game features a ton of characters right off the bat with a shitton of forms to go with, which is something the new game doesn't have (I shit you not, they only let you play like 3 characters before you unlock the rest in story mode). The finishers in this game are very faithful to the show too, and the music is comprised of remixes of the songs in the show. This is a game that's made with passion, by people who cared about the series.
Im afraid to see if he ever stumble upon Ultraman's fighting game cuz looking back. The game is pure nostalgia bait with no thoughts in mind in term of balance

ＰSP's version have a glitch
black RX's power is too low,and can't beat enemy down in high difficult with low power challenge
and BLADE KING FORM you should try it in PSP version,so cheating in the PSP version's program design.(push O attack even they defense when hissatsu hit on them,Blade's special power gauge will charge full in one hit or two hits lol)
