As a 43 year old Mets fan, I salute DJ for how he played on the field AND off. On the field, it seemed like he was always at the right place at the right time getting a big hit, a big home run, or a big defensive play. He definitely had a flair for the dramatic and that flair would shine on the biggest of stages. One of the most clutch players of all time. Off the field, his "rumored" relationships with some of the baddest broads back then were the stuff of legend. The man stayed single his entire career being the shortstop captain for the freaking NEW YORK YANKEES!!! Again, much respect to Jeter...

I was born in '89 and literally grew up watching the man, unlike Desus & Mero haha. Me and my wife are about to have our first child, and IF I have a boy, I'm naming him Jeter. Absolutely idolized this man my entire life, its nice to see him open up and show more of his personality in things like this.
