Appreciate your honesty!!! Sometimes it looks so easy but I really struggle out there 😂
Makes two of us
We all have those days! Thanks for watching
I literally marked 3 brush piles that had fish on them only had 2 of them to bite 🤦♂️
Good video . Enjoyed it.
Thank you for another great video.
Thanks for watching
Another great video,I love that lake, one of my favorite place to fish
It’s a good one. Thanks for watching
Crappie fishing magician.
You had awesome day fishing. Hope to see you out on the lake one of these days.
See you out there! Thanks for watching
I’ve got a 5.5’ ultralight a friend built for my dad in the 80’s. I love that short rod for shooting docks and it’s real fun to catch a Kentucky Lake pig on!
Love your videos and have learned so much from them. Enjoy the fishing there while you can, because when the carp get there, it will get a lot tougher. While crappie on Kentucky has come back a bit, the carp have made their behavior very erratic.
Looking at Live Foot accessories and see they have a speed control to slow down the turret. Do you think this is needed or can you lock on the target at the speed it comes without speed control?
Hey Brandon, another great video! What brand & model is that 2500 series reel you have on that 7’2” rod? Do you prefer a certain spinning reel for your crappie setups?
You do a great job explaining how to use the baits. I have been bass fishing for over 30 years but just started crappie fishing last fall. I have had a ball catching them so far. I have bought 3 of the detector rods and love them!! The one thing I keep forgetting is i absolutely need to stop trying boat flip 15 inch crappie on 4 lb test lol!
You can do it just have to be real careful and lift with the rod and let it take the load and not the line. I’m bad about it too, it’s a habit us bass guys can’t break easily lol.
nice job brother!
Thanks
Just fished Brushy Creek outside of Nashville yesterday didn't hardly get a bite. Great video- what lake is this please?
Try a Red Phillip’s knot between your leader and braided line. It is smaller than the double Uni Knot. I’ve used it for crappie to 50lb trophy red drum and it works great!
Excellent. I'm still having problems finding crappie out here in Cali. I fish really deep waters and have been searching along the steep drop offs and brush piles but not seeing as many as I'd thought.
Have you check the bridges??
Keep trying you’ll find them. Thanks for watching
Good fishin! Went up there last Thursday to throw those BLF rods around for bass. Caught several pounders on a bladed jig and a couple decent smallmouth on a Ned rig. Other than that it was pretty slow fishin.
Glad you’re liking the rods! Thanks for watching as always
Ordered myself a Christmas present from Midway yesterday 😂
Don’t have to look very far to find something good on there! Thanks for watching
Brandon, how do like the positioning of the power pole stomp switches and your Livefoot switches? Would you set up the same on your next boat? I’m trying to decide on my boat right now before drilling anything. Great videos and thanks.
I would probably separate the two a little more if I had it to do over again. Maybe move the Livefoot switches over to the side a little or something. Thanks for watching!
I wish we had boat docks down here in South Alabama. The area's I fish, the state owns the land and no camps are allowed on the property. Great show..
Honestly I wish we didn’t have so many docks. That’s not for me to decide though. Thanks for watching
How deep are the docks you fish in the winter.
What rod are you shooting with? That sounds funny don’t it.. lol
Hi Brandon, Thanks for another great video! It's in the 40s today here in Indiana, so I'm riding along with you on tv, LOL. I have a stupid question. What is the leader for? I only fish with mono line, so is it for braid line that you should use a leader? Thank you.
Yep, only for braid so the fish won’t see it
Not a stupid question at all. I throw a fluro leader when using braid so the fish can’t see the line and also I don’t think fluro makes as much noise coming through the water as braid. I know you will definitely get more bites using a fluro leader with braid versus using straight braid, especially when casting a jig. Thanks for watching
Thank you for the reply!
How far is boat from dock when you shoot can’t tell distance from video
I’d say 15ft or so. Thanks for watching
Just a dumb question but do you ever fish straight fluorocarbon for crappie ? I don't hear a lot of people doing it and was wondering....I know it's expensive but is there another reason?? Great channel and Thank you for the great videos....keeps me going in between fishing trips😁
Check my channel out, all I fish with is Seaguar Fluorocarbon
I’ve never tried straight fluro for crappie. Flurocarbon has a good bit of memory by nature and I think it would be pretty hard to deal with. Either braid with a fluro leader or straight hi-vis mono for me.
@@BrandonLesterFishing appreciate the response...tight lines!
