I had my doubts about the backsplash, but now that one see the finished kitchen, it looks gorgeous!!!
Cleaning the rock backsplash would be horrific.
Right? Especially behind the stove. Can you imagine how greasy and stained it will get?
@@natalies1306 Right. I thought they should have continued the countertop onto the backsplash behind the stove.
I don't like her designs
I love Christina's work.
I'd like to have the before kitchen in my house. They think it's old. Hope they don't get bored of new kitchen in 5 yrs.😮
I agree….the before kitchen was beautiful to me. Although the cabinet are dark, the kitchen still looks light and airy.
Christina's renos are always expensive where as Hilary Farr's design can make the whole house for this budget. Just sayin
Agree ! Hilary’s one of the bests
Just remember that California is by far the most expensive state and much more than in Canada.
Agree, she spends more than 100k for a kitchen
These are all fake budgets anyway babes
What's the practicality of having that bulky stone backsplash? Doesn't seem easy to wipe down, it would irk me. Although it looks great and I am super happy for them, I'd have chosen a more sanitary backsplash. Well done Team.
I really don't understand that backsplash choice, how difficult it will be to clean that if u spill something while cooking. I believe they never uses the kitchen to cook, its just a showpiece...a 100k kitchen will look dirty within weeks.. good only for a showroom kitchen
Beautiful!
New and improved, I'm nervous about the sharp corners on the island.
You simply can't wipe down that rough stone backslash.
I see dried raw egg, cake and pancake batter, dried grease, and everything else there. 😮
😅
As usual it look amazing but how are you suppose to wipe off spaghetti tomato sauce for the backsplash...a nightmare to keep clean
Backsplash looks nice but natural stone will soak up the grease frome from cooking.
Wow I LOVE the kitchen love the stone work all around
LOVE everything it is BEAUTIFUL - Love Australia xx
PS: I would love to have a kitchen like this
I think that the working triangle, fridge, stove top and sink might be awkward.
Is it more than 27 feet?
A waterfall countertop for the island would've been nicer. 👍
I think the kitchen looked nice before
Right😂 I really liked it I wouldn’t do anything to it but hey if you have the money
Светло, красиво 👍
Kitchen looks great but the backsplash would be very hard to clean
Imagine the stone backsplash with spaghetti sauce splattered on it. Hard to clean, & if you try wiping it off right away, you're leaning over the hot stove/burner. Not practical.
The before kitchen looked good, just lighter colored cabinets was needed & ofcourse the pop out window, but wit huge budget reno the after still looks so bleh.
How do you close the pop out window? Is it auto with the press of a button or do you have to use some gymnastics to close it?
My first thought too. You'd need a short ladder to reach the window to close it. Or a good vertical jump.
Very expensive 😮😮
It's the homeowners' decision on how much they are willing and able to spend.
I don't know where so much money went
I don't LiKE the Stone! Maybe for a fire place but NOT a backsplash!
❤

Do these people really spend any time in their kitchen? How did we go from ‘I need white everything so that I can clean it all the time’ to a stone backsplash that’s impossible to clean?
Do not like the Flintstone backsplash.
Stones as backsplash is a bad idea....especially for a family and cooking family......am tired of white kitchens too....its looking like hospital
A kitchen designed for those who never cook ...
If you're entertaining at night with the open windows and open doors, don't moths get in the house, mosquitoes, etc.
150 k for a kitchen???? I agree w guy, all white is so boring, need some flare
Christina is a bad designer
Beautiful!
