It seems my Motion Boom have a very little airleak coming from around the volume buttons, i'll follow your video guide for a teardown, my question now is whether the grills, the rubber straps on handle and on foot needs a gum when coupling back, if they do, what type of gum?

Yes you can whatever the batt cells are using 18650 lithium ion , but u have to swap batt protection board

Just use a flat head skewdriver and on the bottom of the speaker you will see a spilt in the fabric put the flat head skewdriver in there and pull on the tabs really light so you don't break anything

I used to have a sony Bluetooth speaker srx-22? or something like that, what I don't like about sony is that they make it really hard for people to disassemble their products I try to fix my speaker's battery, once I opened it never sounded the same again. I like LG and JBL Bluetooth speakers because it is easier to replace a part if you ever needed to replace a part.
Fantastic teardown video! I’ve got one of these that unfortunately won’t charge. After plugging in power the red power light illuminates as if it’s charging but turns off within one minute and never actually charges. Any advice?
I have a different issue. Bluetooth disconnects randomly, I've tried a few things they say to try, but it's still rubbish and makes me want to smash this speaker to pieces. Before I do, maybe OP can suggest something? As for your battery issue, I'm no expert but if it were me I'd look for the same battery on Aliexpress and using this video here, carefully replace it. I'm not sure if opening the speaker would affect its waterproofing but I don't use mine in the water anyway and I'd rather it worked and not be waterproofed anymore than none at all.
@@Everything_Comes_And_Goes its more than likely the actual bluetooth connector cable that is connected inside on top of the green board. it comes off and if not secured correctly could come loose. This might be the case and has come loose while playing. This also could be a manufacturing defect so you could open it up and put it back together following this video. I have taken mine apart and put it back together. opened the speaker 2 months later to check for water damage as i use this for playing music in my shower and no water damage or moisture left inside of the speaker
Suggesting can you do also removing the grill front so i can clean it or put some water proofing and dust proof cloth i bought some cloth in amazon thanks waiting to your video...

Great Work, Pity No internal Acoustic Damping Behind Drive units . Can't understand Why Soundcore Didn't Have LDac codec On this, Have on Most of Ear Buds
From what I read mostly larger enclosures will benefit more with polyfil. Won’t really do much for a small enclosure.

LDAC is useless honestly on a speaker like this you wont hear the difference from SBC vs LDAC. Only good quality earbuds or headphones can reproduce the details well enough to make a difference.
LDAC would be an added expense too regarding the hardware.

if you cant find replacement battery pack, you can possibly get two fo the 26650 battery cells and replace the old cells

Are you still planning on trying it? The location on the motherboard would be the Bluetooth chip. The Chip is called "ATS2833". It seems to have atleast some kind of cable connecting method. Because there is another speaker with the same chip that has USB audio.
It probably would need software mods too?!

Hello thank you for the video. Mine seems to have a problem with the Circuit Board. It turns off itself after a few minutes of playing even when I connect direct to power without the battery inside. Is it possible to get another board? Thanks

wonder can it mod with tweeters , does it have a active crossover ?
it doesnt have one since with one driver it doesnt need one. you could try swapping the drivers for coaxial ones though which would require the least amount of work

se o alto-falante morrer quando você tirar o carregador, então eu verificaria a bateria, verifique se está conectada à placa-mãe. talvez teste a bateria para ver se ela ainda mantém uma carga adequada.
A minha deu o mesmo defeito apos usar umas 10 vezes um lixo
A minha motion boom parou de funcionar com pouco uso se usei umas 10 vezes foi muito e sempre em volume baixo, que tristeza e nunca molhei, sempre guardava éla em caixa com silicagél para não pegar umidade, eu ligo éla e éla desliga em 03 segundos supeito de ser a bateria, agora aonde vou achar essa bateria?
Pode testar utilizando um cabo de carregamento de qualidade e um carregador de qualidade tambem e deixar por um bom tempo
Existem procedimentos para reativar baterias também, dando uma carga nela com uma fonte externa.
Mas a substituição da bateria é fácil de encontrar. É so saber as especificações técnicas da bateria antiga e pesquisar outra encima dessas informações uma que seja aproximadamente semelhante com tudo igual na voltagem, a corrente igual ou superior.
Certamente deve vender a bateria dela no Aliexpress
@@francielcarolino2803 eu tenho outras duas caixas da mesma marca a motion + e o mesmo carregador esta carregando de boa, pois o carregador e do meu tablet Samsung que é de ótima qualidade, quanto bateria déla está boa pois está com a carga 70% e mesmo assim éla desliga com ou sem carregador em 5 segundos.

What did you find cheap here ... Can you mention other good build speakers you found ??
It's a budget friendly speaker, ofcourse the company would try to save money. And it's not even built that cheap. If you want a better built speaker, you can spend an extra 200$ on something by Sony or JBL

This comment is silly. The design for less than $100 is actually really solid.
Only the materials used for build is cheap but the drivers are of very good quality since the diaphragms used here are made with titanium and the magnets are not the usual ferrite magnets used in Sony speakers but are very powerful neodymium magnets that are of the best quality. Also JBL Xtreme 3, Sony SRS-XB43 are not the speakers that reproduces 40 Hz its the Anker Soundcore Motion Boom that does and if you got any brains at all you would appreciate the engineering behind this masterpiece.
If you have to let everything spin, at least let it go around 1 full time wtf, you're just destroying, without any knowledge of electronics, am I right?? 🤦🏻♂️
