Black was only weak at 1st cuz he couldn't use all of Goku's power at full capacity. He had the same problem Ginyu did.
Obviously he could lmao, he literally had better zenkai than all Saiyan warriors. He literally used Trunks to get stronger.
@Xiter 2023 no, the body swap process was incomplete. He lost a lot of Goku's potential and had to regain it. Not only that, in order to use God Ki/Use a God Form, he had to combine his own limited God Ki (all Kai's are born with some, usually in small amounts) with the potential he'd unlocked for Goku to create an alternative form

The fact that Mikey doesn’t know the power creep between Goku and Gohan during the Cell saga which was also during the moment people thought Goku was a bad father in DBZ and Aaron trying to explain that he wasn’t a bad father but neither great, has to be one of the funniest thing in this video, for how common DB fans argue about it wether or not Goku is a good or a bad parent
Whenever people have that argument, I try to remind them that Goku is a better father than Batman. It's stupid but hey, no more debates.
The only time Gohan express to be discontent with Goku, and even then how was Goku supposed to know if Gohan never said he didn't liked to fight? (That was also an asspull from Toriyama's part, Gohan never expressed to not like fighting or killing before that infamous moment in fact killing a Freeza Soldier without any problem back in namek)

@@EpikHellSword Goku was also raised as an Earthling from the moment he got amnesia as a child, but he was raised by an old martial artist and never had any formal education (is also implied that Chi-Chi's education on how family works comes from magazines as she never had a present mother), it doesn't help that all of Goku male friends trained and fought since childhood like himself. In all, Goku was a pretty good father with the manga and anime implying he was present on Gohan's life while alive and on Earth.

Goku was a great father, he always took care of his children while he was alive and on Earth, his children look up to him and respect himand his teachings.
On the other hand, Piccolo threw Gohan in the wild for 6 months, trained him fot 6 more months and never had at least a full talk until Buu Saga; Gohan became Piccolo's first and best friend, but still, at best i would say that Piccolo was a older brother figure.

I love how Aaron didn’t think that zamasu stole Goku’s body which has god ki on it. All zamasu need to do is figure a way to make goku god Kiinto his own and surpass it and plus every punch he gets it a plus Zenkai boost so every punch he get it makes him stronger
Yeah. I know he and some of fandom do mess with Mikey for his lack of knowledge of anime, but this is one those examples where Aaron is more of a dumbass than Mikey.
It's also kinda ironic and funny how he tried to call out Toriyama for not being a good writer, but doesn't have the brain cells to call Kishimoto trash for fumbling a majority of the female cast.
I was just about to say didn’t he stole goku’s body with goku’s power and transformations. So it makes sense he is stronger.
I was about to point that out too, I mean that was the whole point of stealing goku's body was because he was powerful and then he learnt to better utilize goku's body after seeing him fight the same goku's body who had already gone through all the training goku had already done... it's like Aaron just thought that Zamasu's power was kept with the swap which beats the point of the swap in the first place...
Yeah even if it went off his example of seeming on par with SSJ2 Goku, he was wiping Trunks who was also in SSJ2 like a fly on the window without even trying.
Black specifies many a times all the fighting is getting him more accustomed to the body allowing him to access more and more of it's potential, a potential which would've been At Least post SSJB Kaioken ×10 Hit fight when going off the backstory, hell after all his growing he didn't even realize that Saiyans' Power comes from their anger till he pulls out the scythe at which point he gets so much more astronomically in tune with the body he can tear rifts in space.
Also the rant about Beerus erasing him in the past not affecting Black was explained with the Time Ring.
This arc is far from perfect but damn some of these complaints were directly explained Multiple times...
20:00 It’s Because If you watched the Battle of Gods Arc After Goku loses the Form Beerus notes that he Absorbed the God Form into his Base form so Goku in Base Form In Super has God Ki and Goku in Base with the God Ki can even amplify his power further with Transformations so since Goku Black fought SSJ2 Which is Way Stronger than His Base Form Allowed Goku Black to Feel that Level of God Ki He had so he actively got stronger plus to stack it up with Zenkai Boosts and his Saiyan Heritage

For those who are confused about how Zamazu kill the Goku inside his own body, pretty much a Zamazu wished to be in Goku’s body so then he switched his soul into Goku’s body, while Goku went into Zamazu’s body leading to Goku black killing Goku in his old body

I will say to Aaron’s comment on Zamasu being able to survive fighting trunks and goku in the future, to my understanding it wasn’t that zamasu was any stronger or anything it’s just that he wished to be immortal before showing up to the future. So he was still weak as he was, it’s just he couldn’t die😂🤷🏾♂️
No zamasu first wish was to take goku body then go to a alternate timeline recruit himself then use the dragon balls from that timeline to wish for that zamasu to become immortal.
Zamasu was pretty much the immortal punching bag, that would sucker punch you if left open.
Actually it was implied that goku black got stronger the more pain he felt that's why when he first fought against goku you see how the more damage that was being dealt he powered up more and that's on top of the fact that goku black couldn't fully use goku's body to the fullest. So, when Aaron was getting mad about gohan not being there, an explanation is in there. This is Trunks’ timeline so Gohan got packed up a long ass time ago thanks to the androids.
But Goku was already dead,if that's trunks timeline where Gohan is already dead....how The hell is Goku alive 💀 this does not make sense at all.... unless zamasu took Goku's body from his own timeline,then killed everything in trunks timeline...but that would make 3 timelines..... since Goku, Vegeta and the others are still alive 💀...Did I Miss another paradox

17:28 There was one visual gag that showed this species had a progression over the course of 1000 years.
Before they were using their bare fist, now they're using clubs.
They learned how to use weapons and tools which indicate they've entered their own stone age.
It's not a lot of progression I'll give you that, but it's there.
This is why I like the goku black arc more in the Manga, cause in that, the way goku black got to super saiyan rose cause he was exploiting zenkai boosts over and over

They could've just made Turles cannon would've been better.
Apparently after the beating Goku gave black when he went to the future he kept fatally wounding himself near death and letting Zamasu heal him over and over exploiting the Zenkais.
(Around 38:38) I'll give you the play by play since I enjoy this part, the thing he did differently was he stopped holding back. Man went actual Full Power, so much so that after that Kamehameha his arms were limp, this attack plus Merged Zamasu's blowing up in his face was enough to Kill the mortal half of Merged Zamasu. Goku in that moment legitimately killed Black which the half immortal body didn't sit well, with leaving a weakpoint like in a boss fight when you wound the boss and keep hitting the wound for crit damage, Goku then with limp arms launched at that weakpoint kicking the s#¡t out of it (to then get grabbed and shocked in retaliation) at which point he used that last trump card *KAIO-KICK!* to drop Merged Zamasu so hard it quote "beat the divinity out of him". Yeah it seems to come out of no where but notice after all that Goku was out of it like fully, plays into his "Dumb at everything except fighting" shtick cause he knows not to fight yourself into full fatigue leaving an opening unless it's out of desparation or the final push. I mean of course they always hold back for like 80% of every arc so that there's something to actually watch, but you know what happens when you're careless with power and drain yourself before the fight's finished seen during that Kid Buu fight on the Kai World using SSJ3.
Makes even more sense when you compare the two scenes too
Father Son Galick Gun had Trunks and Vegeta still in their transformed states just out of breath
Gokus arms just straight up went limp and after the Kaioken he lost all power where as Vegeta only lost power after getting hit by Zamasus attack
Goku black was able to fight vegeta because he was learning how the saiyan body works and dummy goku was teaching him how to use it making him explode in power after the fight

Actually it makes perfect sense for Black to beat their asses, We know that it takes time for someone to adapt to another body as we saw when Ginyu stole his body, but he was not able to utilize it in to it's fullest potential due to no adapating to yet. This is also the case with Black, he specifically stated after he got back to the future after that first goku fight that he finally was able to master and adapt to the body. That's why he was blue level and stronger, that body is the body of a goku just before the ToP, and Black was only able to finally adapt completely to the body after the first fight with Goku
Nah Aaron finally putting it into words. Y’all wanna act like Kale and Caulifa doesn’t make sense hell even cabba. But y’all look at Goku black and said “oh yeah that make sense because he has deity ki.” For once he speaking the truth. And I remember this too specifically that people where complaining about Trunks keeping up with SSJ2 Goku. And I was of course foolish enough to explain why is that the case. But if your gonna tell me that all it takes was to Zamasu to fight Goku once again? Nah
This is why I said the Goku black arc was purely fan made and it’s the reason why everyone loved it because for once the toriyama wanted to listen to fans, and looks where that gotten us. Now he and Toyotaro is out here trying to bring the story back up after the terrible sh-t that happened in the previous. They redeem himself by doing the moro arc. But people wanna sh-t on Toyotaro for no reason when all he is trying to is appeal the fans. At this points y’all who continue to complain about the series, should honestly just stop watching and get hell out. I a sick and tired of seeing people ramble there mouths on this.
Zamasu was on some Reverse Flash pettiness but 33:58 at least he ended up inside of him twice also for Trunks, don't shoot this man is not black💀
( you guys probably already know this but imma explain anyway) so the potaras are the naturally STRONGER fusion but it can’t handle that much power, in like the fusion dance which CAN handle more power. since goku and vegeta went blue as vegito that shortens the fusions time limit from one hour to like 10 or 15 minutes cause the potaras can’t handle that much power.( so yeah i explained that best i could,so yeah)
Goku trained in the afterlife for years never contacting his family when he had the ability to he even told them he’s finna stay there indefinitely 😕
To be fair, I'm pretty sure it's stated that Zamasu lost some of his power when he swapped bodies and when Captain Ginyu swapped bodies with Goku on Namek, he was so weak that KRILLIN could beat him, so Zamasu probably wasn't accessing most of the body's power until he actually faced a challenge. Plus it's possible that Goku Black is similar to Gohan, maybe being a Saiyan-Kai hybrid which would make him exponentially stronger.
Aaron, is u forgetting that zamasu took gokus body FROM super? So he was already pretty strong but we don’t know how far into the future he took his body
It’s like when ginyu took gokus body, he couldn’t release the full power and that’s exactly what happened to zamasu. Until he actually fought goku he didn’t know how to use the power the body had
why black handled blue vegeta was not shown in the anime but in the manga vegeta beats him into a pulp and the other zamasu heals him back to full then he goes rose after vegeta beats him (when black is in super saiyan)

If goku jumped to 3 which he runs out of power in quickly, Black would've hit full power and most likely out lasted goku.
And remember zamasu found a way to break Goku's zenkai. Just by getting hit he gets multiple times stronger. Not to mention he found out how to use supersayain just by seeing goku do it.

I think it makes sense how Black kept up with Ssj blue. If we think about it, he took Goku's body at a point where he had already learned about God ki. Zamasu just had to het used to the new body to bring out his full potential

Black's first fight went bad because he was in the same position as Captain Ginyu: he was in an unfamiliar body, but he didn't realize he wasn't drawing out it's full potential. He was in Goku's base form and hadn't pulled any more power out of it. After that fight with Goku, he realized he had only scratched the surface of what Goku's body can do. So he needed time to figure out all of Goku's abilities, which he did by training against the immortal version of Zamasu.

And the fact that Goku black out nowhere automatically have a greater Zenkai a Goku which btw was suppose to be equivalent to Universe 6 vs 7. Which in theory he should be weaker. Nah, this ain’t power scaling at this point it’s the writing. Which is why this is a clear example of why series should only take time and do things right and not listen to no fans.

The thing about Goku Black is that it unlocks huge potential for both sides when they fused supreme Kais have a lot of power, but less fighting potential, and Goku is normally unable to access "god form" for very long. Putting them together makes it possible to be in his strongest form basically indefinitely with their combined power they were only a bit stronger than Goku, but Zamasu's immortality was too much to overcome even for Vegito even though they were winning they had a time limit while Black/Zamasu didn't.
Aaron bro black trained offscreen to fight exactly like goku . remember Godtube so he watched goku fight
I think the reason goku black was able to handle vegeta before going rose was because zamasu switched bodies with goku when he was able to go super saiyan blue already. So even tho gokus "body"was already able to handle that much power. It was was zamasu just trying to learn the power instead of achieving it and with him being God already probably made it easier. So when vegeta was whaling on him it finally unlocked rose.

They actually depict time in a more realistic way than just future, past, and present. It's a more well-known theory that if you go back in time and change the past, it does not change the future that you left. All you did was create a branch that separated off from the point in which you went back in time. Creating a different timeline altogether.
Now, the way they explained how the zamasu from our timeline was erased by beerus but still alive in trunks' timeline was not a very good way of explaining it, but the time rings do still work that way. What actually would've happened is when Whis allowed zamasu to kill gowasu and then turn time back to stop him from killing him, that created another timeline. One in which zamasu did kill his master and acquire the time ring. So, there's a trunk's timeline zamasu, a present zamasu who was erased by beerus, and then a third zamasu who is from the timeline in which whis allowed him to kill gowasu before turning back time to stop him. That's the zamasu who stole goku's body.
I personally don't like it when shows or movies that involve time travel just stick to the simple "if you go to the past and change something, it will change the future." I like the much more complex theories, as they are more representative of what would most likely happen in reality.

@@HossLUK yeah because there’s literally no way for him to use the time ring when he was erased, since he didn’t exist at all. i also wondered why black never recruited more zamasu’s since all he’d have to do is keep going into the future, and then back to the moment where black killed gowasu, then eventually there’d just be multiple goku blacks and zamasu’s that can team up lol
@seaniverse363 yea, i like to think recruiting more zamasus was a part of his plan to get rid of the grand priest and zeno later on, but realistically , it never got that far because they didn't want that arc to be that long. At least, that's what makes the most sense in my eyes. Either that or they knew that no matter how many zamasus they had, they'd never be able to overthrow the grand priest, let alone zeno, again making the arc a lot shorter than it could have been.

Aaron has to know that Zamasu and Goku Black didn’t get erased not because they were in the future but because they had stolen time rings which negated their erasure from all time lines. The Zamasu’s of all the other time lines got erased but they didn’t cause of the rings
Possible theory is that he had been training before Goku and the others showed. That is how he reached that level to match Vegeta.
Goku black took advantage of zenkia boost in every fight since the beginning with goku and god ki also adds to the power cuz of the pressure and strenght you should be mad about the current events now thats bullshit

An interesting point that most folks overlook is that the reason Merged Zamasu got all 'two-facey' is because Goku KILLED the Goku Black half during their beam struggle.
And since, the Zamasu portion of their fusion was immortal, their body ended up becoming unbalanced af since now it was an immortal Zamasu fused with a DEAD Goku Black! 🤯

If you think about it, Goku Black being this strong makes sense since Zenkai boosts don't only activate by near death, it also activate from the damage you take and the longer the fight goes on, those two are slight boosts, but near death experiences are significant jumps in power, also his Ssjg is stronger than there's since it isn't just god ki, it's actually a spirit of a God in side of a mortal's body with God Ki, which is why his hair is pink instead of blue, makes sense to me. Remember future Trunks? Also just to point out the only reason Goku let Gohan fight cell is because he was stronger. There’s also a lot more but to simplify a potential paragraph, Goku’s only father figure was Grandpa Gohan and they mainly bonded through fighting infact pretty much all of Goku’s friends had an attempt on his life and some are close… Yamcha, so of course he would think fighting Gohan would make good father son bonding, but then again before Raditz came Goku pretty much renounced fighting since he was the strongest and he spent a lot of time at home even sacrificing himself to save him. Something else to point out is Piccolo Jr. was like six o something and incredibly abusive to Gohan leaving him to survive in the dragon ball wilderness which for some reason has dinosaurs. Is Goku a good dad between decent to ok, but by far isn’t the worst and Vegeta did become a decent fathe too. One last thing is I personally respect your opinion Goku most of the time forgets Gohan and how to be his father and Vegeta in GT and Super usually makes room for his family.

19:02, Unless I’m mistaken, there was a way this story could have written to make sense of Goku Black’s power being this high that involves the Zenkai Boost. Just as Vegeta had Krillin almost kill him in his bid to match Frieza’s power, Goku Black could have had Zamasu nearly kill him multiple times at some point during their partnership until he was around the same power as present Goku and Vegeta or even above it. Or they could have simply used alternate Zamasu’s Super Dragon Balls to increase Goku Blacks power level before destroying them. One or the other.

I love how Aaron’s argument is that Goku shouldn’t have been that strong since he couldn’t win against ssj2 goku, but black was in base and putting up a decent fight. The body goku black stole was from the present future. Plus anytime regular goku gets stronger the time ring helps him keep up with goku and the future gap plus zamasu’s own ki makes him stronger. In honesty just goku black could’ve bodied all of them himself

It always amazes me how the most simplest concepts in Dragon Ball just go over people's heads, especially when it comes to time travel, but to be fair, the anime explained a lot of this arc horribly. Personally, the manga did it better, in my honest opinion.
The Goku Black arc started off with a monster FIRE but damn was I let down. It started off SO DAMN GOOD. 😢

In the Manga, he started off at Super Saiyan 1 and Goku Black's standard Super Saiyan form eventually evolves into Rosé form after exploiting the Zenkai Boost by letting Future Zamasu heal his injuries a few times, with Goku Black noting his divine soul and Saiyan body are becoming one.

The reason goku black was able to beat blue goku and vegeta was because he was quickly figuring out how to use a saiyans power and how to use gokus power so the more black fought the more of gokus power he unlocked plus his own amd zenkai boosts
