Kelley, showrunner, writer, and executive producer, and executive producer and director Regina King (One Night in Miami, The Harder They Fall, Watchmen, Seven Seconds), the limited series, which premieres on May 2nd, is based on The New York Times bestselling novel by the late Tom Wolfe and is about Atlanta real estate mogul Charlie Croker (Daniels) who faces sudden bankruptcy when political and business interests collide as he defends his empire from those attempting to capitalize on his fall from grace.

Jeff is correct, it should be a requirement to vote, just like getting a drivers license, serving on jury duty and fined if they do not do their civic duty. Vote 💙 for our democracy.
I used to think this, but now I am not so sure. It seems as if a voting requirement would result in a huge influx of votes from low information, unengaged voters. I'm not sure that would be a positive thing. I'd rather more voters held views based on accurate information.
Let's just get to agree you need an ID to vote.

Woah, this is exciting. I just randomly searched "Jeff Daniels" as I was enjoying a cuppa this morning and look what popped up. And the great man is being interviewed by one of the most dynamic news journalists/presenters of all - Nicolle Wallace! What a find.
Here in Australia it is compulsory to vote from your 18th birthday. If you don’t vote you are fined. Our civilisation has not imploded.
I was one of those people who knew nothing about Jeff Daniels and then I stumbled across newsroom and the speech they are talking about. Ever since I've been a huge fan and follow him. I could listen to him talk all day because he's so down to earth and so smart and has the right attitude toward life. Because of him I even watch dumb and dumber which I normally wouldn't do.
