I lost track of how many moments in this I had to stop and just take a second to breathe in awe of the animation. So many scenes where they put in so many frames.

Someone finally gave my boy Omori a real animation team (Chainsaw Man's action director is the animation director here, plus the MHA composer for music) to sell his vision. This, THIS, is what Danmachi should look like. The Danmachi novels always described Bell moving so fast normal human eyes cannot track him, and yet JC Staff never goes more than a brisk pace. This show had Will move like Bell SHOULD move.
I just learned that the same author wrote this series as well and Danmachi needed this love and care for its animation and fight sequences for sure! I figure this will be a darker series overall from the first episode's vibes
@omnikard Danmachi gets pretty dark too, but... Sadly they haven't animated the later seasons of Sword Oratoria. Sword Oratoria gets REALLY dark. One of the books is basically Lovecraftian horror. There's a reason Ais didn't show up in season 4; she was very, VERY, busy. Thing is Wistoria also puts in the time in the very first episode to do world building, something JC Staff also skipped a lot for Danmachi. Omori is excellent at world building, but you wouldn't know it with all the cut content from the Danmachi anime. 😆 It's just great to see him get something with all this love and care... And oh, no editor telling him to change the title. Wistoria is such a short, great title.
Something that's always bothered me about the danmachi anime is how characters under level 5 are rarely depicted as the superhumans they're supposed to be. The only exception I can think of being Ryu (and she's a bit of a unique case anyway). Fans of the anime would be forgiven for thinking they're not much stronger than normal, highly trained warriors. I imagine if I were to tell someone that current Bell could beat Captain America with just his bare hands they'd probably look at me funny
@webslinger827 Hahah, yeah, that's a major problem with the Danmachi anime. I practically have no idea how Season 5 is supposed to handle the stuff that is gonna be in the second half, because those fights are NUTS. I remember when they first wrote the Astrea Record story in the mobile game that Ottarl was fighting another opponent just as strong and every single sword clash was causing the entire city to shake. Even a newly minted level 1 adventurer has two or three times the strength of a human. So yes, JC Staff really doesn't show off how crazy adventurers are. Also yeah, current Bell absolutely curbstomps Cap.
This Anime deserve more hype. The animation, Character Interaction and MC was on point. This give me Solo Leveling first episode feels

I've seen some compare it to mashle as well given the setting of "MC can't use magic in a world centered around magic."
From what i've seen ,people call it mashle ,but i've heard that there are people in the world outside of him that cant use magic ,so its like if a character that was made to be a warrior class just wanted to enroll in a magic school basically .
Many anime with good animation and story is out now we're getting cook for good

Ther's two sleeper anime of this season so far, and I hope the momentum of both make them way more popular. One is this anime, Wistoria, and the other is The Elusive Samurai
It'd be a massive change in anime if for once, some of the best anime of the season actually had more people watch them. Cause last season there was Yatagarasu, and absolute 10/10 court intrigue anime (Apothecary Diaries intrigue part but x1000) and almost no one watched it
