A lot of people in Jamaica do not understand the impact of roots reggae in Africa. Roots is not just music for me and people who grew up like me, it is a kind of religion that has come from Jamaica straight into our souls. I was at this concert and I can tell you it was a spiritual experience. People did not come for a concert, they came to listen to a prophet. A lot of us were raised on the message of burning spear when we were growing up and to see him live-grown men, tough outlaws, were actually crying just to see him before he even opened his mouth.
Mzee kaa Burning Spear-hizo message zake lazma ziendelee kusikika, zizidi kuhifadhi maisha za masafara. Mungu ampe miaka na miaka juu kuna watu kibao wanategemea hizo ngoma ukweli.

What I like about this Jamaican (that is in the end African music) music makes African People proud of themselves and believe in themselves to become a progressive nation and that one day things can be better for us... What was recorded in Studio 1 in the early seventies alone is enough for that. Although some Hi-Fi equipment are need to appreciate the bass which is at the roots of this music...

I have a lot of respect to the Black People and their culture :) if someone would ask me what the definition of "wonderful" was, i'd send him this link to show him how satisfied and happy people can be even without lots of money, or pc-games and all that crap !

Burning Spear is a Prophet, Spiritually, Mentally and Physically. I am very proud to hear the comments made by our Kenyan Brethrens interviewed in this video. Lovely to see the "Natural Dread Locks" children (Samson as described in the Bible, Strong and Powerful Nazarene, betrayed by a foreign prostitute, Delilah) only found in Africa, dancing to Jah Jah's music. As told by The Master and Saviour: "The Stone the Builder refused shall become the cornerstone....".... Matthew 21:42. It is our Brethrens and Sisterens sold to the wicked ones to carry away into captivity, that are going to return and finally "FREE AFRICA" from it's mental bondage. Burning Spear is a Living Proof of this Prophecy. Jah People's music reign High and Mighty in Africa, where.... JAH LIVES.
