- Q&A: What is the difference among พูด, บอก, and คุย???
Many of you asked me this question, here is my simple explanation.
⭐️ พูด (pûut) to speak / to say
You just speak without having someone listening, or the act of speaking out. You can also speak with yourself "พูดคนเดียว" púut kon-diiao
⭐️ บอก (bàawk) to tell
You are telling something so you need a listener to listen to you. It's the action of one person telling something.
⭐️ คุย (kui) to talk
This demands two sides of the conversation. That's why if you want to say "They are talking (to each other)", you say เขากำลังคุยกัน kǎo gam-lang kui-gan.

Thanks for your videos 👍 i would like to ask if there is a difference between คุย and พูดคุย? I often see this word 😊
Actually, it has the same meaning kha
"พูดคุย" is when you have a conversation or discuss some topic with someone kha. For example, พ่อแม่กำลังพูดคุยกันเรื่องเงิน/pôr mâe gam-lang pôot kui gan rêuuang ngern = The parents is talking about money
@@BananaThaiSchool ขอบคุณค่ะ 👍😊
Thanks so much for this video! Our non-profit organization works in partnership with the United Nations (OHCHR & DGC) on a global human rights education project to record native speakers reading the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) in all 560+ translated languages. Would you be interested in recording the UDHR in Thai (ปฏิญญาสากลว่าด้วยสิทธิมนุษยชน)?

Could you please let us know what Thai people would say to express the following:
Offend someone, feel offended, Offensive, humiliate someone, irritate someone, disgrace someone.
Well noted kha I will do the video explaining this topic😊
You make good content but this platform seems to now favor legacy media and moving towards a subscription. I hope that you upload to other channels as well otherwise you will lose many followers.
I also have IG/FB/TikTok kha. Thank you🙏🏻
Can you explain waa (to say)
ว่า is like "as that, that“ and it mostly used with those words (พูด บอก คุย). For example, เขาบอกว่าตอนบ่ายมีประชุม/kăo bòk wâa dton-bàai mee bprà-chum = He said THAT he has the meeting in this afternoon.
