Both of them can be applied to almost everything, also they are waterproof, anti uv and heavy duty wood varnish is also heat proof (good for coaster). They can also make napkins background transparent- good for decoupage napkins on dark backgrounds 😅

I think I would have put the gold paint on something like a paper towel and just dabbed, or whiped, a bit on the high detail of the bottom, as opposed to using the brush
