If the scythe was for everyone the hitbox and models of all the characters would be broken because they were designed to use spears and not scythes
Mihoyo is finally giving variety and personality to the game, this is a point that people shouldn't complain about but they still do
Yeah and I mean the weapons in this game are just there for the stats really, the weapon themselves doesn't have any inherent property ...SO it doesn't really matter as long as the polearm turns into scythe I am all for it... just like how Navia's Claymore turns into the Gunbrella...!!!!
its just a visual aesthetic based on her animations. when you put any other polearm it still carries the outline of a scythe. You cant throw that on another polearm user without it tering into they model because they animations wasn't made with a scythe in mind
I think it’s funny how so many people saw the previous Knave using what was obviously Hydro and immediately being like “ah yes, Cryo” also it only changing to a scythe with her works better, most polearm users also use jab attacks, not just sweeping attacks, so it wouldn’t look good if someone like Zhongli used a scythe
Not to mention the fact that other characters wouldnt really benefit from Arles weapon anyway unless we get more characters that use Bond of Life wich I dont think is going to happen, so if you pull the weapon you pull it for Father and not really anyone else
That's because she creates an apparently solid sword out of thin air and cryo can also create similar effects to what we see in that fight. I guess it's also more believable to imagine she's using cryo rather than hydro since the only other character we know can make solid hydro blades in Childe with his martial Legacy. (There's also the possibility she used both elements, but it's unclear)

While Arle is a good person because of the retconing and blaming everything on the old knave i wouldnt go around prasing her consdering she still leads an Orphan military spy school. Honestly her quest probs will adress it i assume with her trying to get out of trying to be a Fatui while making Freminant the new head or something.
Yea she's quite the nuanced character. Can't say she's 100% evil but she's certainly not a good person. Like she runs a military orphanage. But at the same time if she wasn't there it'd be the hunger games for kids + dottore would still be experimenting on kids.
you can't say it's a retcon just because she looked evil but actually wasn't
Firstly, China has a law that prohibits evil characters from being playable or receiving praise and things like that
secondly excluding Dottore and perhaps Pulcinella and Pantalone all other harbingers are grey, they are not the villains they are simply on the other side of the battle
literally not 10% of Arlecchino's lore was known until recently, this was not a retcon this was always planned
Yall be changing what retcon even means. Hoyo can't retcon your head canon because it never existed in her character
