    Played this with my 9 year old son. Once we'd grasped the rules we added our own where we could attack each other to rob loot. We found this hilarious at times. Used the monster fights back rule to resolve combat. Limited to one attack per zone do as to not over do it. Also we trade loot if we meet in a corridor or room. A bit of tweaking and could be fun for some of you to try.

      Good video Jason. We use elastic bands to keep the cards tidy. We had an idea to add some dungeon guards to the guard room by placing a couple of miniatures there. Perhaps they could patrol around using a dice roll.

    • @TabletopJason
      @TabletopJason  Před 3 lety

      @@marksfishfrenzy That's a good idea because there is a lot of card sorting in the game setup. In some of my other games, we built little cardboard boxes with dividers and that seemed to work pretty well too.

Is it always 1 per person or should each player have a few for greater chance of winning?

    Hello Jason! Do you have any kiddos that play these games with you? That's a larger sized board with a lot of pieces. I said in one of my previous comments on a different video that some games get lose me when it's complicated but this one doesn't seem all that hard. For some reason I just thought about the game Gauntlet and how I loved playing it at the arcades... those were the days!

    Hi, congratulations for the video.
    A clarification.
    If the hero starts his turn in a chamber where there are less than 3 defeated monsters can he leave the chamber or is he forced to encounter a monster (obviously in his previous turn the hero has already encountered a monster in that chamber)?
    In my opinion, a wise rule could be the following: when a hero enters a room or a chamber and encounters a monster, on his next turn he will necessarily have to move to leave that chamber or room (even if there are other monsters to encounter and regardless if in his previous turn he defeated or did not defeat the monster he encountered).
    Thanks.
    Greetings.

    • @TabletopJason
      @TabletopJason  Před 9 měsíci

      If I'm reading things correctly, I think the player has the option to encounter the monster or leave the room. In the case of a chamber, they can only fight one monster per turn though. Thanks for watching :)

    @TabletopJason After fighting the first or second Monster in a Chamber (whether the Hero won or not), a Hero doesn't have to stick around unless he really wants to.
    On his next turn the Hero may leave the Chamber.
    By the same token, if the Hero doesn't defeat a Monster encountered in a Room he can leave the next turn (he isn't forced to remain and fight a too-powerful opponent!).

    • @TabletopJason

    Nice video. One question, when a creature has "-" in the stats instead of a target number to meet or beat, what happens? You consider immediate defeat if you have a +1 sword?

    • @TabletopJason
      @TabletopJason  Před 11 měsíci

      Instructions aren't too clear, but the way I read it, I think the "-" means you can't even attempt to defeat the monster with that ability, even if you have a sword. Maybe somebody else can chime in though too.

    • @cobaltmonkey2168
      @cobaltmonkey2168 Před 4 měsíci

      So played this the first time tonight and what I gathered based off the rule book. Under the magic sword section it states you can’t attempt it unless you have a magic sword if there is a “-“. If you do the roll to beat is a 13 so you have to roll a 12 with a +1 magic sword or an 11 with a plus two magic sword to beat it. The only that that is unclear and I can’t find it anywhere is for wizards spell with the “-“ on the monster. A wizard does not get the bonus from magic sword according to the rule book so it is impossible to beat it with that spell from what I gather
